Vaping proves worse than Smoking -- Says Surgeon Who had to do Double Lung Transplant

Vaping looks cool - with the plastic thingy and all
So "new age" - but it's the same old scam by the
same old people"

Last September I first posted about the dangerous new threat to young people called "vaping".  I was out walking my dogs and ended up down at the river bank where a group of high school students were listening to a peer extolling the pleasures of "vaping".  Afterwards, I posted that, IMO, the "Barnum and Baileys" had found a new generation of suckers.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that vaping is ten times worse than smoking regular cigarettes, as I did from about the ages of 16 to 33.

Vaping delivers a quantum heavier dose of toxins at a faster pace than cigarettes.  It actively "forces" the toxins into the cells of the lungs, rather than passively delivering it by inhalation.  Any sentient person knows by looking at someone vaping that they're killing themselves in a most painful way.

I did a practicum in a hospital while working on my social worker degree years ago.  I used to go for coffee with a male Emergency Room nurse and we'd talk about the patients we were working with.  One time I asked him what, in his opinion, was the worse way to die.  Without hesitation he answered that the worst way to die by far was by "stove-piping".  I didn't know what that meant.  He explained that patients with severe COPD and other lung diseases die in agony...because they end up being able to breathe in but not exhale.  So literally they blow up like a balloon...unable to discharge the air--and then they die.

This is the death awaiting the young, empty-headed suckers that the usual corporatist, Big Pharma perps have in their sights.  Nobody ever mentions "stove-piping" in the ads directed at the gullible pawns in the big game of "mass culling".  Please read the following report from RT and I will have concluding comments to follow:

"‘Both are venomous snakes’: Surgeon who performed 1st lung transplant on terminally-ill vaper says it’s as bad as cigs

A teen athlete terminally ill from vaping has been saved with a double lung transplant, the first of the epidemic’s victims to receive the procedure. The doctor who did the surgery tells RT that vaping is as deadly as smoking.

“Both of them are a type of venomous snake,” Dr. Hassan Nemeh, surgical director of thoracic organ transplant at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit told RT. “I don’t know if a snake is more venomous than the other – if a bite kills someone by a mamba or a cobra I’m not sure which is worse. I think both of them are bad for you, though.”

Nemeh performed a life-saving double-lung transplant on a 17-year-old boy – a formerly-healthy high school athlete – in October, believed to be the first such surgery performed on a patient with a vaping-related illness. Despite his extensive experience in the operating room (Nemeh has been doing lung transplants for 20 years) he was not prepared for what he saw inside his patient, calling the boy’s condition “an evil I haven’t faced before” in an interview with the New York Times.

“Despite my expectation from the X-ray, honestly, I was a little surprised at how bad the lung felt and looked,” Nemeh elaborated to RT. Unlike smoking, vaping causes extensive scarring and fibrosis of the lungs; in the pre-transplant patient, the normal lung tissue had been completely replaced by scarring. “It looked more like a liver than a lung, actually.”

Over 2,400 serious illnesses or deaths have been linked to vaping since the Centers for Disease Control began tracking the phenomenon in March. It has been all the more devastating since doctors initially believed vaping was relatively harmless – unlike cigarettes, which are known to cause cancer, emphysema, and all manner of other serious ailments. Science has yet to agree on what exact substance is causing the mysterious illness, with symptoms including low-grade fever, cough, chest pain, and shortness of breath; however, a vitamin E acetate found in black market THC vape liquid has been fingered as the culprit.

While most of those afflicted with the vape-related illness (86 percent) smoked these black market cartridges, several US states have reacted by banning all flavored e-cigarettes, while Walmart has joined countries like South Korea and India and stopped selling vapes entirely. These bans could have the effect of causing more health problems – by forcing users to either play Russian roulette with black market vape juice or turn to cigarettes. A federal flavored-vape ban proposed by the White House earlier this year was put on ice last month after an outcry from voters. Many switched to vaping from smoking cigarettes, which kills 480,000 Americans every year according to the CDC – dwarfing the 57 deaths recorded this year from vape-related illness.

However, Nemeh warned against treating vaping as a safe alternative to smoking or even as a way to quit. “People were hoping that it doesn’t have as many dire consequences, but clearly we’re seeing effects that are really, really bad, and sometimes over a shorter period of time,he explained. Asked whether he would ban smoking or vaping first, Nemeh insisted both should be illegal, accusing e-cigarette manufacturers of targeting children.

“When you make [children] addicts on nicotine, you create a disaster for the future generation.”

Greencrow concludes:  The perps who invented, manufactured and are selling this vaping poison to our children [or anyone] should be strung up by the ballZ.  Their heads should be cut off and placed on spikes to be displayed at the gates of every city--as in Elizabethan England.  Why this poison is still available and legally sold to anyone in any form is a mystery to me.  Actually, no, its not a mystery at all.  In fact this kind of predation has been going on for centuries.  Back in the early part of the 1900's, they had wars and sent the young off in droves--to become cannon fodder.  Now, with that option not readily available to them, they find another way to kill almost as many young by mass poisoning....a mass cull for profit.  The same creeps doing the same thing and ripping off the healthcare system while they're at it.  At the very least, the vaping industry should have to pay for the double-lung transplants out of their profits.

ER nurses have no education in respiratory physiology.

There are two types of lung disease, restrictive and obstructive. COPD falling into the obstructive category, means that there is loss of surface area of alveoli causing a degree of air trapping. The concomitant loss of elasticity of the lung causes airways to narrow when exhaling as well.

In a healthy person, it takes about six minutes to exchange all the air in their lungs; in someone with COPD it takes longer. That is not what kills them however. COPDers exhale, it's not a "stove pipe" that kills them rather it is respiratory failure, which has two components: ventilatory failure and failure of oxygenation.

Death from COPD by respiratory failure can be a prolonged incremental asphyxiation, if death has not already occurred from infection, heart disease, stroke, or cancer in which smoking plays a significant role.

With the loss of surface area of lung tissue, there is increasingly limited opportunity for oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange to occur. These people end up gasping like fish on a boat, and it could be like that for years, with every breath a struggle to get in or out.

Emphysema and chronic bronchitis (the pink puffers and the blue bloaters) die at a rate of over 500,000 per year from that alone, yet cigarettes are legal.

The brain is only about 2% of body weight on average, while it requires 35% of the oxygen you breathe in. The lungs in a healthy young person who does not smoke are sterile. The lungs of smokers---no matter what they are smoking are never are. That is why they are prone to just about any infection. This is to say nothing of reactive airways disease (asthma) which is another type of COPD) with nearly 5,000 per year dying from that alone (more than HIV to put it in perspective).

All cells in the body require oxygen to live. Hypoxemia is ultimately the cause of death. (not the "stove-pipe" analogy of failure to blow off CO2)

In house fires, the cause of death is often smoke inhalation. Smoke. There simply is no smoke that is safe to inhale, let alone one carrying questionable chemicals. Even ordinary cigarettes contain 13 substances banned by the EPA from being dumped into landfills (such as radioactive Polonium 210) and 137 known carcinogens, not to mention formaldehyde and ammonia.

When they see people voluntarily inhaling poison and paying to do it, no wonder they are quiet about chemtrails and glyphosate and GMO food.

I'm glad that (in the USA) nurses are not allowed to intubate, put someone on life support, extract arterial blood gases, etc. Let them stick to pushing pills and doing IVs using veins they can actually see.

Vaping is bad not only because it certainly is poison in and of itself, but it is made worse by the fact that the people doing it are already compromised by vaccines, GMOs, pesticides, chemtrails, background radiation etc. Remember, Fukushima is still going full tilt though its' radiation is undetectable by the five senses.

Sadly, most people know more about their cars (which is very little) than they do about maintaining health.

Hi Laskarina: Thanks for your comments. I couldn't find anything on the Internet that talked about the symptoms of "stove piping" described to me by the ER nurse. This is the best I found:

The fact is I witnessed the condition colloquially called "stove piping" while I was doing my practicum in the ER. A patient would come in in distress, laboured breathing, obviously in great pain and discomfort. The ER staff would go into high response...putting the patient on the stretcher and pounding the patient's back and the chest to loosen the blockages or whatever was stopping the breathing. You could hear the whacks and pounding all over the ER. The staff would keep it up until the patient was breathing "normally" again. Sometimes it would last for 15 or 20 minutes.

Hi Anonymous:

The fact that they can continue selling vaping products in spite of the recent "epidemic" of negative symptoms in users indicates that those in control do not care, nor do they need to care, about humanity.

Sounds like typing this is a WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY
It is just legalized genecide to the people who do not care
If you r not smart enough to listen to facts

While it's certainly reasonable to be suspicious, I wouldn't be so quick to make blanket statements. If you look into vaping forums you'll find endless testimonials, however anecdotal, that vaping has saved the lives of them self or their loved ones. The caveat is that these are typically people who build their own "mods" and or make their own "juice". We source our own ingredients *independently* for pennies on the dollar compared to the premade products. Nonetheless, most juice suppliers use the very same ingredients. The primary components are vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol, both of which are used in medications including those meant to be inhaled into the lungs. The remainder is nicotine, which is typically USP/pharmaceutical grade, flavoring, and sweetener. Some flavorings are known or suspected to cause illness and have been phased out and/or are clearly disclosed by those who sell premade flavors.

I assume big tobacco saw this happening and took a "if you can't beat them, join them/infiltrate them" stance. I would not use pre-made ecig products made by these companies for many reasons, one of which is the unknown ingredients.

I rolled my eyes at the furor over the apparent vaping induced illnesses, because I know better first hand, and am confident I would have seen this crop up in the online community at some point in the last ten years. Lo and behold, it was ultimately revealed that these illnesses were attributed to illicit THC vape products containing a chemical I'd never heard of, as I've never been interested in pot, called "Tocopheryl acetate" which was apparently being used as a thickener.

Interestingly, at least one company of the 3 being investigated is claiming they never used this chemical, and that their products were being counterfeited. One other source was a website which apparently sold only the thickener and which shut down immediately.

I haven't looked too deeply into the situation, but it would not surprise me in the least were I to ultimately learn this was act of sabotage to more radically affect legislation / vaping regulation by an industry which isn't taking control as fast as they would like to, assisted by a compliant media who was willing to conflate legal e-cigarette vaping with black/grey market THC vaping. I don't know, it's not relevant. If some entity wants to expand the nanny state to encompass ecigs, there's not much I can do about it.

In an ideal world no one would vape, and advertising to children should be dealt with swiftly and harshly. Obviously kids are being marketed to very heavily and they are finding vaping very alluring, in large part because there are a range of forbidden substances you can vape beside just nicotine. Perhaps pre-made e-cigs *should* be banned, and not sold at every corner market, bodega, and convenience store. But the fact is that switching from cigarettes to vaping is by orders of magnitude the most effective and least harmful smoking cessation tool to ever come along. It is a technology which was driven by Chinese imports, not by big tobacco or the (((cabal))).

My mother is alive and active today because of vaping, rather than being either dead or on life support. I am healthier because of vaping. I still do it, it's a habit I don't actually care to give up altogether yet, having quit cigarettes 6 years ago, but health wise I am effectively a non-smoker.

You're free to disagree, but I wonder if you actually have a friend or loved one who has switched from cigarettes to vaping who might give you their opinion.

Hi GC,
You are most welcome. I appreciate your blog and read all your posts. Love the art.

I already wrote some clarifications and google gave me a message that it would not be posted! I lost the whole thing. Here goes another try...

As you may have surmised, I had a long career in Pulmonary medicine. I worked in ICU, CCU, NICU, rehab, and even home care. I was the first person to bring someone home from three months in ICU on life support decades ago. This emphysema patient was eventually weaned from the ventilator at home and given non invasive positive pressure support.

There is no point to pound on anyone's chest, especially not someone with emphysema who has little or no mucous to expectorate. Such treatment could cause blebs to rupture and pneumothorax to ensue (collapsed lung), even death. It is more likely that you witnessed poorly done chest PT on someone with cystic fibrosis or bronchitis (also forms of COPD). It is not the force of the blows which works it is the cupping technique and positioning the patient so that the correct lung segment is drained. "Emergency CPT" betrays a lack of proper care to begin with.

I looked at the article you linked and it is basically telling people to cope with slow suffocation. Believe me, anyone who is having trouble breathing will have anxiety no matter what the cause.

Off topic GC- apologies
Recall previously talking about fish farms and their horrendous effects on the natural environemnt

from coast to coast in Canada

"The news that most of the fish did indeed escape has confirmed the worst fears of wild salmon advocate Tavish Campbell, who flew over the fish farm site on Saturday and took photos and video.

My heart just sank," Campbell said of the moment when he saw the collapsed pen.

Under their breath, the cleanup crews call it salmon butter: the pink, coagulated sludge that has taken over a remote stretch of Newfoundland’s south shore.

For weeks, workers have been processing the decomposing remains of as many as 1.8 million farmed fish that died in massive salmon cages in the middle of Fortune Bay.

One of the conservationists closely watching the cleanup said the layer of rotten fish sludge sitting on the bottom of Fortune Bay was more than 15 metres thick in some areas.

Of course they blame it on water warmer then usual but, it was really grossly overcrowded and the fish couldn't leave, like they would have if they weren't penned.
Factory fish farming. Fish farming is filthy, disgusting and I'm wondering if these BC salmon are genetically modified because they are Atlantic Salmon- not Pacific salmon

Atlantic salmon has been gm'd

"The fish, a variety of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar), is engineered to grow faster than its non-genetically modified counterpart, reaching market size in roughly half the time — about 18 months."

I hope to god this isn't the fish that was released on coastal BC!

Hi Laskarina:

I do appreciate your clarifications on this topic. Ironically, the hospital I did my practicum at has a terrible history for negligence and malpractice over the years. Even my nephew was a victim and received a sizable settlement from this hospital. So it does not surprise me that they were using poor practices.

Hi Penny:

The Fish Farm Industry is a disaster all over the world. The only fish farming that should be allowed anywhere is land-based pens. That's not good either, but at least the gm fish can't escape to the ocean!

The only solution to the extinction of fish is habitat restoration.
