Trudeau speaks on Lavalin and Huawei
Trudeau "fess up" or resign

Yesterday a story broke in the Canadian newspaper, the Toronto-based The Globe and Mail.  Over the decades I've come to recognize this particular newz outlet as the equivalent of the BBC in Canada...the "Voice of Satan".  When this newspaper starts on a political vendetta it's always because the Deep State, acting through its Canadian subsidiary, wants to exert its power, one way or the other.

In this particular case, The Globe and Mail, through an "anonymous" source was revealing that the Prime Minister's Office had "pressured" the Attorney General/Minister of Justice  Jody Wilson-Raybould [who is an indigenous woman, daughter of a prominent BC hereditary chief, Bill Wilson] to help a powerful Quebec corporation SNC Lavalin, avoid prosecution for fraud/corruption.  Here are some of the details from the CBC and I will have more comments to follow:

...Prime Minister Justin Trudeau found himself in the opposition's crosshairs Thursday following a report that he pressed former Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould to intervene in the prosecution of construction giant SNC-Lavalin on charges of fraud and corruption.

Trudeau denied today that he or his staff "directed" Wilson-Raybould to intervene. At one point, in reply to a journalist's question, he said in French that he never "asked" her to make any decisions in the case.

"The allegations in the Globe story this morning are false," Trudeau told reporters during a Toronto-area news conference Thursday morning. "Neither the current nor the previous attorney general was ever directed by me, or by anyone in my office, to take a decision in this matter."

"..."We have heard the prime minister's very carefully scripted legalistic answer," said Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer. "But the question is, did anyone in the Prime Minister's Office at any time communicate with anyone in the former attorney general's office on the matter of the criminal prosecution of SNC-Lavalin — yes or no?"

…The Globe and Mail story said Wilson-Raybould was shuffled from her portfolio after she refused to ask federal prosecutors to make a plea bargain deal with Montreal-based SNC-Lavalin. The newspaper, citing anonymous sources, said Trudeau's office tried to press Wilson-Raybould to intervene in the prosecution of SNC Lavalin."

************************

Greencrow says:  When I read The Globe and Mail story yesterday, I had that old conspiracy theory blogger feeling again.  The hairs stood up on the back of my neck.  I recognized the political implications, having seen them time after time over decades.  This story is a "dagger in the back" of Trudeau.  The story is meant to result in Trudeau's resignation, perhaps the collapse of the Liberal government.  Perhaps, and this is the most likely long term goal, the installment of a new and more electable candidate in the role of "acting Prime Minister".

Because, let's be frank.  The Fact Situation of this big scandal is actually run-of-the mill political corruption which, in normal times, wouldn't be worth the ram spilled on it in The Globe and Mail.  "Fixing" sticky legal wickets is the bread and butter of the "Justice" [sic] Ministry. Here are more details from CTV about what exactly Wilson-Rabould was asked to fix:

"...SNC-Lavalin is before a court in Montreal, charged with fraud and corruption in connection with payments of nearly $48 million to public officials in Libya under Moammar Gadhafi's government and allegations it defrauded Libyan organizations of an estimated $130 million.

The company is contesting the case and has pleaded not guilty. The case is at the preliminary hearing stage. If convicted, the company could be blocked from competing for federal government contracts for a decade.

In 2013, SNC-Lavalin was debarred from competing on any project financed by the World Bank for 10 years following an investigation into allegations of bribery schemes involving the company and officials in Bangladesh.

On Friday, former SNC-Lavalin CEO Pierre Duhaime pleaded guilty to helping a public servant commit breach of trust in a deal that resulted in 20 months of house arrest, 240 hours of community service and a $200,000 donation to a fund for victims of crime..."

So you can see the extent of the endemic corruption in the "you scratch my back I'll scratch yours" atmosphere of Ottawa--between big corporations, their lobbyists and the federal government.  It goes on all the time ad nauseum.  So why the big hullaballoo in The Globe and Mail yesterday about a former Justice Minister being turfed for not going along? The perps absolutely NEVER reference morality or call out corruption unless they can use the resulting public outrage as a political tool.

So, why the sudden, odd, injection of morality? Because Justin Trudeau and his government, largely due to the criminal capers of his neo-Nazi-supporting Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, are seriously on the electoral ropes.  One aspect of politics is that Canadians are NEVER privy to the daily poll numbers.  But the politicians and the Deep State see and heavily rely on them for decision-making.  What the above "scandal" tells me is that the poll numbers must be truly rotten.  They must be absolutely irredeemable.  Trudeau/Freeland must be toast.

Politics is always theatre.  Sometimes it's comedy, sometimes tragedy but it is always scripted.  My assessment is that the perps want Trudeau out because he's unelectable [without massive fraud]  They want him to resign and disappear. Then they will "appoint" a squeaky clean caretaker PM to the office to see them through the Fall election.

The Sharks are circling the bloody political liability...so watch out!

moral leader of the free world?

"I know you’re snoozing! — but it’s also emerging as a moral leader of the free world

After the Canadian foreign minister, Chrystia Freeland, tweeted concern about Saudi Arabia’s imprisoning of a women’s rights activist, the crown prince there seemed to go nuts.

When a young Saudi woman, Rahaf Mohammed Alqunun, fled to Bangkok last month and warned that she would be killed by her family if she was forced home, it was Canada that again braved Saudi fury by accepting her.

Trump gets headlines with his periodic threats to invade Venezuela to topple President Nicolás Maduro, but Canada has been quietly working since 2017 to help organize the Lima Group of 14 nations pushing for democracy in Venezuela. When Canada recognized the opposition leader Juan Guaidó as interim president, he won credibility because nobody sees Ottawa as an imperialist conspirator."

That's a problem- no one seeing Ottawa as an imperialist conspirator?
Because it is.
And Canada is and has always been.

There is a huge discrepancy between perception and reality- globally

Hi Penny:

I have blogged over and over about Canada's suicidal isolation/dependency on the corrupt Atlanticists and Deep State MIC perps. Laughingly, one of the arguments the Canadian government was trying to put across in BC ads pushing the Trans Mountain pipeline was that "we could diversify--find other markets for our oil". No sooner than the ads came out, the US forced Canada to arrest and hold for extradition Meng Wanzhou, CEO of Huawei, China's flagship company. This destroyed any hope of establishing trade with China.

Now Canada is being forced to alienate all self-respecting countries in Central and South America...eg. Mexico and Uruguay by our criminal activities fomenting violent overthrow of the legal Venezuelan government. Thus, we are relegated to cleaning up the shit and vomit left by the gorging and defecating perps...a "humiliating test of loyalty"...that will never end until we are formally and permanently sucked into the Satanic vortex/black hole of USrael itself.

"Ottawa as an imperialist conspirator" Canada's role in the intelligence services was always as an apparent innocent. The ABCBA Armies were under no illusions that their Gladio black ops / Colour Revolutions ( implemented under NATO ) would be outed and understood as villainy. But Canada was busy spying on the USSR phone system - which is why they needed a CRAY super computer for decoding. The defanged Canada ( which had the largest air force in the free world at the end of WW II ), which had lost not just the Arrow project, but the destroyer escort on hydrofoil project at Bras d'Or Lakes ( where Alexander Graham Bell had done his airplane research ) and the refurbished aircraft carrier Bonaventure - was not hard to posture as 'harmless' despite its wartime reputation as home of crack assault forces.
The Huawei episode is particularly a demonstration that the only reason we are not a banana republic is because we pay homage to royalty and are too far north to grow the crop.
The USrael allegation has always puzzled me. Israel could not happened without British sponsorship.I know it is not p.c. to note the U.S. often acts as 'cat's paw' for the U.K. ( as well as acting so a portrayal as enslaved by the U.S. seems as likely an analysis ) - but you could not separate the actions of MI-5 from the CIA without a script outlining the situation.

BTW A close friend from years back had worked for the Toronto Star as a photographer on foreign assignments. Their pet phrase for the Globe and Mail was "The Glob and Snot"- a measure of their esteem.

Hi Opit

Thanks for your background comment. Canadians have been deprived of their true history. The young have grown up swaddled in a cotton batting of lies.

We Canadians owe a huge \THANK You to the Native Justice Minister.
All Canadians know the Chinese have been with us for over a hundred years.
Kidnapping the founders daughter, middle ages really, and it turned into anti-Chinese rant.

Hi Anonymous:

The events of the past few months regarding Canada's actions towards China (and Venezuela) show that we have NO sovereignty...the most essential ingredient of nationhood. We are only puppets...tools, really, for the perps to fling at their "enemies du jour".
