John Pilger's The Invisable Government - "Journalism - Normalizing the Unthinkable"

John Pilger's The Invisible Government
Most Important Documentary

Some days it's more frustrating than others when you're a "Truth Blogger".  Google has been playing around big time with blog stats and has for months.  Other bloggers have noticed it too.  Paul Craig Roberts recently reported that his stats have changed dramatically in  the past few months.  We know that the PTB have seven ways to Sunday to confuse and/or discourage us.

That is why a documentary by noted Truther and Independent Journalist John Pilger is like a "shot in the arm" on days like today.  In the above must-watch video, John describes how the Corporate Media, a monopoly held by as few as five international actually a secret (or not so secret) arm of Deep State fascism.  Journalistic fascism has been behind all the recent wars of the past 50 years.  John Pilger expressly mentions the New York Times editor Judith Miller's pivotal role in the Iraq Invasion.

"The real truth is always subversive."...says Pilger, when talking about the courageous few opponents to the main$tream media propaganda.  That sentence rang true with me, and will be the gasoline that this blog engine will run on ...until the next reaffirmation of the value to humanity of little blogs like mine.

I don't owe anybody anything.  I'm not trying to make a buck.  I don't have a job to worry about losing over my so-called "extreme views".  All I have is the experience of 70 years of living on this planet to draw upon.  I have lived through war and "peace"...I have seen leaders come and go.  I was actually around when the brief comets of Martin Luther King and John F Kennedy streaked across the political skies.  I know how they compare with a leader like Putin...the three are so far above anyone else that has come or gone during my lifetime that there is no comparison, except with each other.  In the late 1990's and early 2000's,  I saw the Iraq lies building towards war long before the invasion.  I know how hard I and other truthers fought on the New York Times comments forums to prevent it.  When it happened anyway, that was a real eye opener and taught me how powerful evil was. I started to believe in the devil again...which then led me back to believing in God.  9/11 shattered my world view.  It galvanized me to turn my hatred and rage at the PTB into the only weapon that I could grab and take onto the virtual battlefield...dissident writing.

So as long as I have these simple but precious tools--ten fingers that can type like the wind; a creative mind that can connect dots lying far out and thousands of miles apart on the geopolitical horizon; a crow-like ability to view events from a perspective high above and on a broad scale, and then hone in on them directly "As the Crow Flies"--then I will continue to contribute this small drop of analysis into the huge Internet ocean of political discussion.  And I will also encourage my blogging colleagues to do the same.  Whether we have audiences in the hundreds or thousands...we are all powerful, because as Pilger says:  "Real information is the most powerful information of all."

US false flag threats against Syria designed to prevent Trump/Putin meeting?

Assad, his wife and children visit home of wounded
Syrian Arab Army soldier in Hama last weekend

"....and, as a result of the US "warning" to Syria...Assad didn't hang 20,000 babies in the Damascus Town Square either!"
"Mad Dog" Mattis
US Defense Secretary

Well, crisis averted!  Apparently the Syrian leader, President Bashar al Assad took heed of the warning issued by the White House...not to attack his own he was/is on the cusp of winning the Syrian war.

Here is the relevant quote from RT:

....On Wednesday, the US suggested that the Syrian leadership had promptly changed its mind about an alleged attack. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, as cited by Reuters, said: “it appears that they [Syria’s authorities] took the warning seriously. They didn’t do it.”...

But, as everyone in the world now knows, the perps will not give up on their diabolical WWIII agenda as they have "all the time in the world" to complete it.  Here Iran's PressTV quotes the Syrian Foreign Ministry as saying that the latest US scare mongering provocation was just a "ploy" to prepare the sheeple in the US for more aggression:

Syria's Foreign Ministry says “baseless” claims that Damascus may be preparing for a chemical weapons attack are a US ploy to justify another aggression against the Arab country. In a statement carried by Syria’s official SANA news agency, a Foreign Ministry source said Washington's allegations were not only “misleading” but also "devoid of any truth and not based on any facts."

The objective of the US accusations was to "justify a new aggression on Syria under ill-founded pretexts, similar to what happened in Shayrat Airport, and to cover the US-led international illegal coalition’s strikes,” the source added..."

Now, WHY would USrael NEED to provoke and maintain a climate of extreme crisis?  It could be something so mundane and preventing two people from meeting...according to The Duran:

There is every possibility that whoever the real author of the newly aggressive statements against Syria is, it is a person or group of people who is/are wiling to risk possible military retribution from Russia in order to derail Trump and Putin from meeting one another in a meaningful let alone positive context.
Would the United States really be willing to risk such a conflict to prevent Trump from having a positive bilateral meeting with the head of state of a fellow superpower? This is after all a country in which Bill Clinton launched an illegal war on Yugoslavia in order to get Monica Lewinsky out of the headlines. Anything is possible in the craven new America.

This explanation makes perfect sense to me.  There is nothing more cringeworthy to the NeoCon than having to maintain a civilized demeanor with an enemy.  It is part of their modus operendi to deny the existence of a targeted enemy, much less meet them in a social or diplomatic setting.  In the short term, the enemy MUST at all costs...remain "non persons"....stripped of humanity....all the better to destroy!

But, Wayne Madsen gives a more long term rationale for recent White House irrationality.  He says in his column this morning that there is a new, more virulent strain of the same old, same old neocon virus infecting Trump's White House staff.  He alleges that some neo-nazis are included in this latest bunch (reminds me of Chrystia Freeland, Canada's Foreign Minister).  Below is a snippet from his column and I will have more thoughts in comments to follow:

"...The neocon cell has additional plans to those involving a sustained U.S. military attack against Syrian military targets. They are seeking the expansion of the U.S. campaign to include Hezbollah, Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and even Russian forces inside Syria. That will be followed by U.S. attacks on Hezbollah forces south of the Litani River in southern Lebanon, a cause that has been endorsed by UN ambassador Haley. They also back a currently covert plan by Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain to impose a naval and air blockade of Qatar until that nation cuts off all ties with Iran and the U.S. joining the Saudi-led military campaign against pro-Iran Houthi forces in northern Yemen. Their biggest goal is to get the U.S. involved in "regime change" in Iran.

Cohen-Watnick [head of the White House neocon cell] is known to want to send in CIA agents deep into Iran on sabotage and insurrection missions to enable a revolt against the Iranian government. This is also a goal of the governments of Israel and Saudi Arabia.

None of these goals are shared by the State Department, which is being pared down by the attrition of its senior diplomats, and the Defense Department, where Mattis is faced with an emerging Pentagon neocon cell, which takes its cues from the American Enterprise Institute, and is working in lockstep with the White House's NSC cell.

In Summary, the same old Ziofascist psychopaths who have been running the White House since at least Dubya, and likely before that, are once again firmly embedded in the neophyte Trump administration.  However they seem to have gone off their meds and are wildly entering a full "florid" phase of their desperate "last" effort to get their agenda off the mat...where it has been drop-kicked by Russia, and its allies.

Meanwhile, high in the White House attic, where he has been sequestered...."President" Donald Trump, armed with his trusty IPhone...continues to fight his own battles on "Twitter".

Canuck the Crow Goes to McDonalds for Breakfast

Canuck the Crow goes for Breakfast
at McDonalds

Here is one of a series of "Canuck the Crow" videos that have gone viral in Vancouver recently.  Canuck has become a local celebrity in Vancouver.  There are many videos of him getting into all kinds of trouble.  He has absolutely no fear of humans. In this one, Canuck goes into a McDonalds for breakfast, steals a bun from an unsuspecting patron and begins to make a mess with it.  Someone politely advises him that he has "something on his beak".

Canuck was on the TV News yesterday because he has been dive-bombing a mailman in his "territory" (it's nesting season) and mail service has been stopped until "the Post Office can assure the safety of its mail carriers".

I have a couple of crows in my neighbourhood who are almost as entertaining as "Canuck".  "Fatstuff and Slimboy" built a nest in the next door neighbours' Willow Tree.  Not knowing about the nest, the neighbor severely cut back the branches, exposing the nest...which they then abandoned.  Since they now have a lot of time on their hands (or claws, as the case may be) they have been raising a  ruckus, raiding other crows' nests and generally making a racket, especially in the early morning.

Last Sunday, however, our street was unusually quiet.  I took my dogs for a walk along the salmon stream in the nearby urban forest.  I could hear a tumultuous racket of crow cawing sounded like a hundred crows...just on the other side of the trees.  My dogs and I followed the noise and discovered that there were about a hundred crows "meeting" atop two large evergreen trees in someone's backyard.  There must have been almost all of the crows in the neighbourhood atop two trees!  What were they meeting about?

I concluded the hatchlings had all recently learned to fly...the parents were probably meeting to show off the latest generation of crows...allowing the youngsters to get to know one another.  We know that crows mate for life.  The parents were probably thinking long term in this regard.  In the fall, you can often see huge (several hundred)  "murders" of crows flying in graceful, circles in the sky.  I believe this behavior is also an opportunity for the youngsters to meet and perhaps find a partner.  Crows are very social and incredibly smart!

Salivating at thoughts of WWIII, Satanic perps in meantime "roast" Yemenis on spits

Salivating at idea of WWIII, USrael Satanic perps
in meantime "roast" Yemenis on spits

Looking over this morning's headlines...the hairs begin to stand up on the back of my neck.  It looks like the long-simmering covert civil war between the neocons and the US patriots that is being fought in the putrid bowels of the Deep State/Pentagram/White House/CIA... is again starting to boil over.

This morning, the stench of the rotting neocon canard that Syria is planning another "Chemical Attack On Its Own People" is rising in the morning air. Hang On Folks!  The NeoCon must have suddenly seized the reins* of the "Four Horses of the Apocalypse Chariot" that's racing towards the cliff of Nuclear Oblivion.*Must-read link to Moon of Alabama Update on planned False Flag Chemical Attack

Here is the story from RT and I will have more thoughts in comments to follow:
The White House is warning Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad and military of “a heavy price,” as the US alleges “potential preparations” are under way for more chemical weapons attacks. The Trump administration insisted the US is there to “eliminate” ISIS.

"The United States has identified potential preparations for another chemical weapons attack by the Assad regime that would likely result in the mass murder of civilians, including innocent children,"
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said in a statement Monday night. "The activities are similar to preparations the regime made before its April 4, 2017 chemical weapons attack."

"As we have previously stated, the United States is in Syria to eliminate the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. If, however, Mr. Assad conducts another mass murder attack using chemical weapons, he and his military will pay a heavy price."

US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley followed up by tweeting: "Any further attacks done to the people of Syria will be blamed on Assad, but also on Russia & Iran who support him killing his own people." In April, Trump ordered an airstrike on Syria's Shayrat airbase, which was hit with 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles, following an alleged chemical attack in Idlib earlier that week that was blamed on the Assad government.

US lawmakers were divided immediately after the airstrikes were reported, but much of the media [sic]

Within a week of the April airstrike, Spicer told reporters that the White House was "open [to] the possibility of future" strikes on Syria, if "we see this kind of action again."
The US has also issued airstrikes against alleged Iranian-backed ground forces, shot down a pro-government drone and an alleged Iranian drone earlier this month, as well as a Syrian jet last week.

USrael just can't seem to get their WWIII conflagration started soon enough.

They need it for domestic, economic and geostrategic well as for the pathological satiation they get from bloodbaths.  The perps are getting the window of opportunity for World War III seems to be closing and their enemy [humanity] is getting stronger every day.

This morning their enemies responded via a headline from Ukraine--the other of the Syria/Ukraine "one-two punch" tactic. A high level intelligence official was killed in a car bomb in Kiev.  What does this mean?  Payback for the killings of war heroes "Motorola" and "Givi" in the Donbass last year?  Or, a not too subtle warning about this?

But, but...but...look over there...we have the brouhaha being stirred up in Qatar.  I note in this morning's newz that the perps are starting to undermine Qatar's right to hold the 2022 FIFA soccer games...a real sign they're going to give Qatar the "Russia treatment".

Regarding the Qatar crisis, I present an analysis from and accurately describes Saudi Arabia's sudden belligerent stance towards its tiny neighbor, Qatar, as an "Israeli Coup". IMO, all this frenetic activity to push humanity towards war is a result of the failure of the recent Israeli Coup in Saudi Arabia to staunch the flow of power away from USrael, now the US faces a historic setback in the Middle East here is a good assessment of what has happened there and I will have more thoughts in comments to follow:
By M K Bhadrakumar | Indian Punchline | June 23, 2017
The bloc of four Arab countries led by Saudi Arabia that imposed an embargo against Qatar on June 5 has finally presented their charter of demands. An AP dispatch, lists the 13 demands. The most striking demands include Doha reducing ties with Iran, severing relationships with Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood, closing a Turkish military base in the country, and shuttering state broadcaster Al Jazeera and several news outlets.

Interestingly, Qatar is also expected to “consent to monthly audits for the first year after agreeing to the demands, then once per quarter during the second year. For the following 10 years, Qatar would be monitored annually for compliance.” All this means that abject, unconditional capitulation by Qatar only will satisfy its ‘big brothers’ – nothing less. By the way, there is also a timeline to comply – within the next 10 days – or else the demands get ratcheted up.

To my mind, Qatar will have no difficulty to see this is nothing short of a thinly-veiled push for ‘regime change’. The regime’s response can only be that these Arab bigwigs can go and hang themselves.

What happens next? Simply put, the (Sunni) Muslim Middle East is about to split and the historic schism will have profound consequences for regional and international security.

Make no mistake, this latest development also signifies a slap on the face for the Trump administration. Only last Tuesday, US state department warned Saudi Arabia to resolve the standoff without any further delay lest direct US intervention became necessary, doubting the stance taken by Riyadh (which is widely regarded as carrying the imprimatur of the new Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman) and showing broad empathy with Qatar (where the US Central Command is headquartered.) Curiously, the US spokesperson also had alluded to Saudi Arabia’s past involvement in terrorism “whether it’s through terror financing or other means”.

Evidently, Saudi pride has been touched to the quick and Riyadh has taken exception to the US censuring. Without doubt, these demands are a show of defiance at Washington, too. This is all now going to become a protracted crisis in all likelihood, which will seriously debilitate the US’ regional strategies – unless of course Qatar crawls on its knees — and weaken its war against the ISIS.

To be sure, Turkey will take great exception to the Saudi demand that its so-called military base in Doha should be shut down unceremoniously. President Recep Erdogan will see this demand as an intolerable affront to Ottoman legacy. The VOA reported on Thursday that Turkey has been moving food and troops to Qatar in a big way.

Quite obviously, the crux of the matter is that the virus of Arab Spring is hibernating in Qatar and it threatens to become an epidemic someday again, threatening the autocratic regimes in the Middle East. Only Turkey, Iran and Israel are immune to the virus of democratic empowerment. Evidently, Al Jazeera and the Muslim Brotherhood are driving the sheikhs crazy in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain and threaten the military dictatorship in Egypt.

The credibility of the US on the ‘Arab Street’ is now irreparably damaged. For President Donald Trump all this becomes a big political embarrassment domestically. (Bloomberg) It remains to be seen how the US can afford to sustain its belligerent posturing in Syria and Iraq much longer without any regional allies from the Arab world.

The Trump administration’s containment strategy against Iran seems destined to collapse even before its launch and Trump’s pet project of the ‘Arab NATO’ looks a macabre joke. Can the US ever restore its hegemony over the Muslim Middle East? Doubtful. A big slice of modern history of the western hegemony over Arabs is breaking away and drifting toward the horizon. To be sure, Russians are coming!

All the USrael proxy battlefronts are collapsing...but, worst of all...the "Iran Project" at risk of failure?  Unthinkable!!  Meantime, as The Saker reported earlier this week...Syria has been making stunning military advances on the battlefield against the USrael-supported terrorists.  Victory is in sight. Not without a heavy cost to Syrians, however. Assad brought genuine tears to the eyes of the international community when he visited soldiers and their families and broke bread in their homes in Hama yesterday.  You could hear the gnashing of teeth and fangs of the perps all the way to here in Canada.

Richard Edmondson gives voice to the Syrian Martyrs

So, up until the frenzied media saber-rattling of this morning...and we don't know whether this is just more bluster...or will be followed by yet another CALCULATED WAR CRIME attack on Syria by the perp faction in the Pentagon...the famished-for-blood neocon will have to content themselves with torturing Yemenis and roasting them on spits:

Secret Torture Prisons in Yemen
by Stephen Lendman (
According to AP News, at least 18 secret black site torture prisons operate in Yemen. They’re run by the despotic UAE, along with rogue Yemeni elements trained by the Gulf state. Washington is likely behind what’s going on – US citizens complicit in interrogations. None of this would be happening without US involvement and approval.

An estimated 2,000 or more detainees are brutalized in captivity – not al-Qaeda fighters as AP reported. America, Riyadh, the UAE, and their rogue allies support them.  Detainees are Houthis or supporters. Saudi terror-bombing targets their fighters, Washington involved in the fighting.

US weapons and munitions are used to massacre countless numbers of Yemenis, mostly civilians in harm’s way, willfully targeted as part of a diabolical plot to inflict maximum pain and suffering on an entire population, millions affected. According to an AP investigation, “secret prisons are inside military bases, ports, an airport, private villas and even a nightclub.” “Some detainees have been flown to an Emirati base across the Red Sea in Eritrea, according to Yemen Interior Minister Hussein Arab and others.”

AP cited anonymous Defense Department officials admitting US involvement in interrogations. They lied saying no torture or other forms of abuse occurred in their presence. DOD spokeswoman Dana White grievously lied, claiming America “always adhere(s) to the highest standards of personal and professional conduct.”

“We do not turn a blind eye because we are obligated to report any violations of human rights.”

Fact: Torture is official US policy, authorized at the highest levels of government, especially post-9/11 – despite international and constitutional law banning it at all times, under all circumstances with no allowed exceptions.

Fact: Laws prohibiting torture are jus cogens. They’re higher, compelling laws. No nation may pass legislation permitting it. No courts may justify it. Jus cogens prohibitions allow no immunity from criminal liability.

Fact: A 2013 “sweeping, 577-page” Constitution Project (CP) report said it’s “indisputable that the United States engage(s) in the practice of torture.”

Fact: What began earlier, continues now. Torture is globalized, featuring lawless abductions and brutalizing treatment.

The UAE lied, claiming no involvement in torture or other forms of abuse. Lawyers and family members of victims explained around 2,000 or more men disappeared into black site torture prisons. Former Riyan airport detainees “described being crammed into shipping containers smeared with feces and blindfolded for weeks on end,” AP explained. “They said they were beaten, trussed up on (a) ‘grill…spun in a circle of fire…and sexually assaulted.”

“According to a member of the Hadramawt Elite, a Yemeni security force set up by the UAE, American forces were at times only yards away. He requested anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the matter.” Another detainee said the “entire place is gripped in fear. Almost everyone is sick, the rest near death. Anyone who complains heads directly to the torture chamber.” He was flogged, beaten and otherwise abused, placed inside a shipping container. Guards lit a fire underneath and filled it with suffocating smoke.

AP interviewed 10 former detainees, nearly 20 of their relatives, and around a dozen Yemeni officials, complicit with Riyadh in combating Houthi fighters and terrorizing Yemeni civilians. Neocon US Defense Secretary James (“mad dog”) Mattis praised the UAE as a “little Sparta,” claiming it’s involved in combating al-Qaeda – both countries support. One Yemeni victim said he’d rather “die and go to hell…than go back to” the torture prison where he was held and brutally treated.

Yemen is Obama’s war complicit with Riyadh, the UAE and their rogue partners in high crimes. Now it’s Trump’s, escalating combat instead of responsibly ending it. Washington bears full responsibility for the rape and destruction of Yemen – including horrific torture inflicted on thousands of victims, a testimony to US viciousness.

So, in summary, what to make of this morning's developments?    It looks to me like Israel, in desperation...due to the impending death of their "destroy Iran and conquer the entire Middle East from the Nile to the Euphrates"  wet coming out of their covert proxy hiding places and is going to try and fight directly.  They are at root cowards, so this is a very risky strategy for them. Israel needs to fight its wars by deception.  This is the motto of the Mossad.  Yesterday, and the day before, Israel was using the "deception" that Syria was lobbing projectiles into Israeli "territory".

The reason that Israel fights all its wars by deception (proxies, false flags, lies, etc.) is because Israel's diabolical policies could never survive the light of day (reason and law).  Deception is a dead end policy because if you cannot fight or defend your policies by the light of day (i.e. by legal or public means) then you cannot fight 50% of the time. So you are doomed.  Russia, as an example, until yesterday, never confronted Israel directly over its crimes against Syria allowing Israel to fight in its preferred "darkness" of doomed it to failure...sooner rather than later.  But late yesterday, Lavrov warned the US "and its allies" against targeting the Syrian military.  So even that game is up.

We're down to the final "roll of the dice" now...and that is the only way to phrase what's going on.  USrael is taking a big "chance" that they can still provoke Russia by attacking Syria directly...then, like the mewling cowards they are...they will cry out for help....from the US and NATO.  They Need their War and they need their blood.  Roasting humans on spits just doesn't cut it anymore.

CawRANT Events #49

CawRANT Events #49

Good Morning Everybody!  It's a stunningly gorgeous morning on the West Coast. Can't wait to get out there walking my dogs.  Yesterday, the temperature broke all records for this region.  I won't was uncomfortable. Especially for my dogs and my canaries who were stuck in the sun porch.  My partner and I went out for a "shake down" cruise on the nearby Burrard Inlet our old sailboat.  It was cooler on the water, but I still got a slight sunburn (I don't believe in sunscreen).  Today promises to be a bit cooler.

Regardless of the summer weather and vacation mentality here...the geopolitical world is still turning and there's so much to cover in this CawRANT that I better get started!

Leadership Question #1 - CBC Reports on Trudeau's popularity...and bans greencrow (again)

First we have some national news from the taxpayer-funded Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.  Here's the headline:

"Trudeau's approval ratings drop 9 points over last year, but he remains more popular than premiers, rivals"

So....this why le dauphin has been keeping such a low profile lately.  He doesn't want his poll numbers to sink any lower.  It would appear the more Canadians are exposed to his kind of arrogant mediocrity and vassalage towards the perps...the more they [we] dislike him.  Better to put him under wraps and work on a makeover of his public image...then bring him out again in the Fall and hope for better results.  Unfortunately, for Canadians, the newly (s)elected Conservative Opposition Leader, Andrew Scheer is just as bad.  And HE's not even allowed to enter Russia...having been banned due to associating with some neo-Nazi supporting Kiev Junta types that toured North America a couple of years ago, hoping to drum up support for their cause.  So Scheer's "dead in the water" or was "stillborn" from the start, IMO.  The only hope for Canada will come from the third party New Democrats...who have still to elect their National Leader.  Hopefully He Or She won't be banned from Russia.

Incidentally, regarding being banned and the CBC.  I meant to advise readers that I have been banned from commenting on the CBC forums...again.  I was kicked off a year or more ago now because I posted under my nom de plume, greencrow.  They made up a silly rule that you have to post under your own legal name.  This rule, of course, was meant to intimidate those who hold views that go against the official stories...what ever stories of the day the CBC might be pushing.  The paid trolls continue to post under numerous false ID's anyway. The CBC could have at least "grandfathered" those of us posters who have been posting more than a decade under our names...and who were otherwise in good standing...but no.

So, a few months after the interdiction, I re-registered under the name of "Vertina Corbeau"...which is a French version of greencrow.  French being Canada's other official language.  CBC allowed me to post under that name for over a year.  Then, a few weeks ago, I was posting comments about Andrew Scheer's banishment from Russia..and...low and behold...I got banished from the CBC comments forums again!  I was notified that I had to re-register using my legal name.  Given that the CBC moderators heavily censor the forums anyway and limit the number of "real" views Canadians are allowed to express...I have not bothered to subject myself to whatever threats and intimidations might befall me should I express my "extreme" views online under my own name.  After all, I am not so lucky to have a name like "Jane Smith" like some of the posters.  Whatever.

My work on the CBC forums was not a pleasant task anyway. I looked at it akin to one of my other daily go out to my backyard and pick up dog poop.  Not pleasant but necessary.  Someone has to show the world that the obsequious, vassalage views of the CBC are not necessarily those of its funders.

Leadership Question #2 - Putin's Popularity Attracts Detractors

Reminds me of those lyrics to that old Dylan song "Everybody Must Get Stoned".  Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin...has been the sole leader to take on mano a mano, the globalist, neocon warmongering perps who've started war after war after war against militarily weak and resource-rich nations (just like Canada) contrary to the principles of International Law and the UN Charter.  Putin has been tested by some alternative bloggers...and found wanting.  The main grievance against Putin is a dubious one...that his mother was Jewish.   Here is a very recent post by my esteemed colleague, northerntruthseeker...who hails from the Prairies...the heart of Canada.

I sent NTS (as I affectionately call him) a couple of links the other day which were quite compelling evidence that Putin's mother was NOT Jewish.  In his post linked to above...he does not refer to my links...or provide me any evidence supporting his "Jewish heritage" claim.  As Putin himself keeps insisting (about the Russiagate distraction in the US) it is ALL ABOUT THE EVIDENCE...or lack of same.

If I was a paranoid individual ; ) I would think that someone is trying to sew dissention amongst alternative bloggers to weaken what cohesion we might have in our opposition to the (very cohesive) main$tream media.  Putin is not perfect and he does (no doubt) have feet of clay...but I would hope that evidence could be produced of same...and it could be acknowledged that he has provided some crucial leadership during this time when Nuclear Armageddon is being threatened by his geopolitical enemies.  While I would defend to the death every person/bloggers right to hold (and defend) their own viewpoint, we should remember also that "divide and conquer" is one of the few tricks in the "one trick pony's" toolkit.

Here is a video about Putin's stance on alcohol.  I think by taking on the formidable alcohol industry Putin is once again showing he has the best interests of humanity at heart.  While watching the video below, I could not help but compare Putin's stance on alcohol with Justin Trudeau's pushing of marijuana...what really is going on here?  Watch the video (particularly the classroom explanation) to find out:

Why Putin Doesn't Drink Alcohol
And why the Alcohol Industry
will be out to get him

And, finally on the subject of Vladimir Putin, I can capitalize on this topic to remind readers of the series of reviews I wrote on the recent Oliver Stone documentary "The Putin Interviews" and the Epilogue to same where I listed links to all the segments of the documentary:

"The Putin Interviews" by Oliver Stone. It also provides links to the four video installments, which I've copied here:

"...Now, watch truth in action for yourself.  UPDATE:  THE VIDEOS LINKED BELOW HAVE BEEN DISAPPEARED OFF YOUTUBE.  Thanks to the blog is a new and secure link to Oliver Stone's four part Putin Interviews Documentary

Leadership Questions #3 - Trump Got his Hands Bloody on Basis of (Yet Another) Lie

Its a clear signal to the alternative media of a "limited hangout" coming down the pike from the perps when they drag out that old Vietnam fossil, Seymour Hersh to try to whitewash the main$tream media's blackened and putrid-smelling image.  They always do it so long after the fact that, even if there were such a thing as "justice" in the United States, the imaginary "statute of limitations" has passed for this one.  Here we have a report of Hersh "revealing" that Trump "knew that Syria did not use chemical weapons"... prior to Trump's "after dinner entertainment" bombing of a Syrian airbase...which killed a dozen or so soldiers and citizens.  Here's the report from PressTV and I will have more thoughts in comments to follow:

Seymour M. Hersh investigated the case of the alleged Sarin gas attack. According to his report, Trump turned a blind eye to reports by the US intelligence community that warned that there was no evidence that the Syrians had used a chemical weapon.
The US intelligence found that Syrians had targeted on April 4 a meeting site of Takfiri militants, using a Russian-supplied guided bomb equipped with conventional explosives. A senior adviser to the American intelligence community said Trump's national security planners “asked the CIA and DIA if there was any evidence that Syria had sarin stored at a nearby airport or somewhere in the area." "Their military had to have it somewhere in the area in order to bomb with it,” after being ordered by Trump to plan for retaliation against Syria, the report said.

“The answer was, ‘We have no evidence that Syria had sarin or used it,’” the adviser said. “The CIA also told them that there was no residual delivery for sarin at Sheyrat [the airfield from which the Syrian SU-24 bombers had taken off on April 4] and Assad had no motive to commit political suicide,” the adviser added.

American and allied military officials in Doha, whose mission is to coordinate all US, allied, Syrian and Russian Air Force operations in the region, were also reportedly briefed by the Russians on the details of the Syrian attack days in advance.

"Pulitizer Prize winning" Seymour Hersh, because of his original reporting on the Vietnam "My Lai" Incident, seems to wear this mantle of verisimilitude amongst Americans.  Well he, unfortunately, has failed the 9/11 litmus test and this writer believes he's just another CIA "limited hangout" artist...rather than a journalist.  This particular "limited hangout" appears to be another attack on Trump.  Trump, seems to be hanging onto the mostly powerless post of US president by his fingernails...much to the chagrin of the perps.  So they will continue to snap at his ankles.  One can only hope that this last leader on the discussion block today (Trump) is slowly learning on the job.

In Summary, three leaders were discussed in this CawRANT.  Some cynics insist individuals cannot make a difference by themselves and so there's no point in humanity supporting (or following) their leadership. History puts the lie to that theory.  And WHO would be pushing that theory, anyway?

The Grenfell Fire and 9/11

Grenfell Tower - Why didn't it Collapse?

The world was focused on the UK again last week.  Ever since the Brits voted to Brexit...there has been non-stop chaos in the UK.  The latest was the fire that destroyed a residential high rise, killing untold number of residents (we still don't know the actual total).  Here is a report about the toxic gases (including cyanide) that killed the residents.

Experts have claimed that victims of the Grenfell Tower inferno might have been killed by highly toxic gases, namely cyanide and carbon monoxide, emitted by the building’s external cladding as it burnt. According to Professor of Environmental Toxicology at Leeds University Alastair Hay, the people who were trapped inside the building as the fire spread would have had “no chance whatsoever” of surviving because of the “very high concentration” of such gasses.

“If the concentration [of cyanide] was very high, they would have no chance whatsoever, because cyanide can kill really within a matter of seconds,” Hay told Russia’s RT news network.“What it essentially does is block oxygen use in your cells” causing the person to become “immobile” and “die from a heart attack very quickly.”

“Most often it is the gases that kill people […] before they are exposed to flames,” Hay added. According to British authorities, at least 79 people are believed to be dead after the fire engulfed the 120-apartment high-rise, which has the capacity to accommodate up to 600 people. The death toll is expected to rise as some local residents suggest that after the fire broke out not many people could escape because the blaze engulfed the entire building rapidly.

Obviously, this was a tragic accident that could have been avoided if politicians (i.e., Boris Johnson, Mayor of London) cared half as much about their domestic responsibilities as they did about their international criminality (sending millions to the "White Helmets).  My heart goes out to the victims and their families.  Thinking what the victims' last moments must have been like...takes me right back to the victims of 9/11.

There are a lot of similarities between the tragedies and a lot of glaring why is the Grenfell tower still standing in the photo above...while the WTC buildings (three skyscrapers) disintegrated into pulverized dust and melted steel in their footprints.  Speaking of toxic chemicals including cyanide in Grenfell...where did the highly toxic asbestos in the WTC go? But again, the "statute of limitations" in the non-existent "justice system" of the US has long run out on that the 9/11 victim's families have all been paid off.

When you compare and contrast the two makes you despair for the human race.  With the absence of common logic, nevermind justice and the rule of law...humanity is, IMO, completely doomed.  Or, perhaps not.  Perhaps humanity is like the small dog running through the streets in the amazing video below.  Perhaps we've always run in and out of dangerous situations but somehow survived.

Dog Running Through the Street

And, on that more positive note, I will end this CawRANT and get out into the glorious sunshine with my own small dogs...Until next time....Bye for now!

Qatar Is Centre Stage In A World At War - Guest Column by James at Winter Patriot Blog

Doha, Capital of Qatar
USrael to Qatar:  "We put you up there and
we can take you out!"

There have been some very good analyses of the Qatar crisis on the Alternative Internet in the past few days. My instincts tell me that this crisis might just be the one that puts the globalist neocon ziofascist push towards WWIII, which has been stalled due to some genius "checkmating" by Russia, over the top.  In my opinion, Saudi Arabia and its allies are, just like the ISIS terrorists, acting as USrael's proxy in the Middle East...just on a grander scale.  In the guest column below, James from Winter Patriot Blog has a very comprehensive and well presented assessment of what is going on in Qatar. I have added bolding and emphasis, and will have more thoughts in comments to follow:

Qatar Is Centre Stage In A World At War - UPDATED

Update at the foot of this article.

A few weeks ago, the Saudis exploded in their rhetoric against Qatar. They were apoplectic. What on earth could have caused this sudden flood of vitriol? Obviously, it was not the fact that Qatar was funding terrorists in Syria as this had been an open secret for years. Plus, it was also an open secret that the Saudi's themselves are funding terrorism and even supplying many of the terrorists. The Qataris must have been threatening in a major way either or both of the two things the Saudis hold dear – their money and their political power. The former is increasingly dependent on the latter. Sharmine Narwani appeared on RT's Crosstalk to talk about the Saudi/Qatar conflict. She was definitely the smartest one in the room but no one was really listening to her. In answer to Peter Lavelle's first question, she revealed that the terror groups supported by the Qatar/Turkish alliance had gone very quiet in the last month and this had allowed the Syrian govt forces to concentrate on ISIS which is directly backed by the Saudis and the UAE. Consequently, ISIS is in disarray.

Clearly, to this writer at least, a deal had been done between Qatar, Turkey and Syria. Russia would have to be on-board, too. This has massive implications for the whole world. Narwani also thought that the Saudis were not above attacking Qatar and it might be imminent. One reason, as Sharmine Narwani states, may be the fact that Qatari backed terrorists in Syria have been fighting directly with Saudi backed jihadis. This benefits Turkey as well as Syria.

Turkey is pissed that the US is obviously trying to set up a Kurdish state in the north of Syria and barring Turkish military involvement. This evolving Kurdish state-let will inevitably threaten Turkish sovereignty. But what about Qatar?

Qatar must be able to see which way the wind is blowing in the Syrian conflict and realise that they are not going to get their gas pipeline through Syrian territory after all. The LNG market, from which they get the bulk of their revenue from, is now oversupplied (from the US and Australian sources amongst others) and forcing prices downward. Qatar's income is declining and it needs to pipe its gas to a major market to stay competitive. Piped gas is much cheaper to deliver and distribute than LNG. The only option is to talk to the Iranians. It also makes major business sense to do so.

Qatar and Iran share the largest gas field in the world and it is largely undeveloped. It makes sense to develop this field together and market the gas together as well. With Iran as a partner, the way is then open for Qatar to negotiate with the Russians and the Syrians concerning pipeline routes. The way is also open to ensure the future cash flow of the Qatari government and its royal household. Russian technology and Chinese finance will make it all happen. I would estimate that the gas sales will be denominated in Yuan and Rubles.

The Americans will get (are getting) their knickers in a bunch but they are rapidly losing influence in the Middle East, as Sharmine said. She was trying to elucidate that the Middle East countries are looking to rearrange their alliances and strategies to take this into account when she was cut off by Peter Lavelle.  The US is losing the battle to maintain the US dollar as the undisputed world currency and this deal will hasten its demise. The world wide supremacy of the US dollar is what their empire is based on. No dollar supremacy equals no US political supremacy and this will severely curtail their effective military supremacy.

The bankers that control the US, UK and Israel maintain their power by controlling energy supplies and indebting everybody to keep them relatively poor. Every other nation on earth will benefit from breaking this lock on power and enjoy growing industrialisation, trade and prosperity. This is being brought into stark contrast in the Middle East starting with Qatar. Qatar can stay with the US and slowly strangle itself economically or it can take a risk and make a break for economic freedom and prosperity.

Saudi Arabia has ambitions of leading the Islamic world. It has used its gigantic income from oil sales to invest in religious indoctrination around the world and to bribe countries near and far. It has bought its way onto, if you can believe it, the UN Commission on the Status of Women and now heads the UN Human Rights Council. This is what money can do; but you need lots of money and a continuing supply of it. As the wealthiest oil exporter in the Middle East, it has dominated the Gulf Co-operation Council which, of course, includes Qatar.

Saudi Arabia's income stream is declining and is needing to leverage what political power it has to gain more and to cover naked grabs of resources such as those in Yemen. But it needs the GCC to act as this lever. Qatar is undoing the Saudis dominance of the GCC. The Saudis future is at stake and with the Saudi royal house doubling down with the appointment of Mohammed bin Salman as Crown Prince, we can expect more military adventurism, i.e. wars, to hasten this decline and perhaps eventual demise.

There is the risk of an armed attack from the Saudis but Qatar has allies. Turkey is sending troops to Qatar. This is no small matter. Turkey has the largest military in the Middle East. Turkey is also making it clear that it has a major interest in the success of whatever deal Qatar is striking with Syria Iran and Russia. Iran and Russia have immediately sent food shipments to Qatar after the announcement of the blockade by Saudi Arabia and the UAE and Bahrain. It would seem from the co-ordinated response that the blockade was anticipated. Presumably, more is anticipated by this ad hoc alliance assisting Qatar.

With the original Qatar/Saudi pipeline dead in the water, Turkey would be amenable to a Qatar/Iran/Syrian pipeline going through Turkey. I'm sure their only demand would be that it not go through any Kurdish territory. Given that none of the other partners want the US/Israeli controlled and unreliable Kurds involved, that won't be a problem. So the pipeline would have to go through the Aleppo corridor.

It would also need to go through south/eastern Syria where the US is now fighting at the risk of starting WW3 with the Russians. Now we see what the stakes are for the US and they are very high. If the gas pipeline goes through Turkey it will inevitably hook up with the Turkstream gas pipeline that will be Russian built and owned. Turkstream with travel through south eastern Europe; through the impoverished (thanks to the US and Germany) nations there. Turkey will become the gas hub between the suppliers in the Middle East, Russia and the Caucasus and on to the customers in Europe. Turkey has manoeuvred for a long time to be in this position. Much income and political influence to be gained and none of it dependent on the US!

Turkstream will be a lifeline to Serbia and Hungary. A branch line could easily extend to Greece and on to Italy. Europe's prosperity will be massively enhanced with a secure, plentiful and cheap energy supplied from Iran, Qatar and Russia. German/EU and US dominance over southern and eastern Europe will evaporate as will US power. The Islamic mass migration may well stop, as well.

In the immediate term, Russia will get what it has been aiming for and that is a 'Gas OPEC'. Russia together with Iran and Qatar control the bulk of the world's gas reserves and will set the price thereafter. Europe (Germany) will have to kick the US to the kerb and come to its senses regarding Russia and cease with the sanctions and resume normal bilateral trade arrangements. Peace and prosperity for Russia.

In the longer term, Russia will be able to see the back of the US in the Middle East and all the wars it brings with it and Russia will be left as the dominant power on its southern flank.

Iran is being fast-tracked to join the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation (SCO) which is a de-facto military alliance between Russia and China and now Pakistan and India. The window of opportunity to attack Iran is finally closing, if it has not already closed. Thus Iran will have the US and its bankers finally off its back and will be able to resume full trade with the rest of the world. No more sanctions and it can resume its path to peace and prosperity through selling oil and gas wherever it wants and relieve its population of the constant stress of the threat of imminent war.

There are other players involved, too; China and Pakistan. There have been long term negotiations between Iran, Pakistan and China to pipe gas through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. No doubt, the Chinese would welcome Qatar as a partner in this project as it would also allow its influence to further spread into the other Gulf countries with their New Silk Road to follow.
Wherever the pipeline goes, so will roads and other infrastructure. The new infrastructure, together with the ready supply of energy, will assure development along the route and surrounding territory. This would be a massive boon for the Balochistan area and would quell the political unrest (sponsored by the CIA) that has cost both Pakistan and Iran, not to mention the Balochs. Exactly the same applies to the North-West Territories in the north of Pakistan.

No doubt the Pakistanis would like to be rid of the US which has bases on its territory and from which it launches aerial attacks against Pakistani territory at will. The list of benefits to multiple countries goes on and on but it won't be smooth sailing. The US has been in decline for some years now but that hasn't stopped it launching more wars and spreading terrorism and mayhem across the globe. This will continue. It is the nature of psychopathy to never give up; to always continue to do harm.

To get itself out of trouble over the centuries, the banking establishment, centered in London and New York, has started costly wars. They are now trying to do the same again in Syria and maybe soon in Qatar. We shall see soon enough.
Meanwhile I commend to you Pepe Escobar's article at Sputnik where he talks about the implications of the SCO as well as the pipelines and the Qatari deal-

The West Can't Smell What Eurasia is Cooking

Pepe is the 'go-to' man regarding pipelines. He was the first writer that I know of to seize their importance and 'follow the pipelines'. He coined the term "Pipelineistan" and has written books about it.

Adam Garrie of The Duran has written an article outlining 13 demands that the Saudis have of Qatar. The list is not confirmed but "widely accepted" including by RT. Associated Press claims to have seen the document but AP is closely aligned with the Globalists, the Neocons and israel, but I repeat myself. So AP gives the list of demands credibility but because the Saudi govt has not confirmed it, it can shield itself from diplomatic criticism and back away from the "13 demands" at a later date if necessary.

Garrie notes that the demands are childish and he is right. This is what you get when you step on the toes big-time of psychopaths. They have the emotional maturity of 10 year olds. He also rightly notes that the demands cannot be complied with because they are extremely demeaning. This is intentional. Israel and the US routinely do the same when they want to start a war and this is precisely what Saudi Arabia is saying and wanting. 'Either you stop with the alliance with Iran, Syria, Turkey and Russia or we will invade you. Israel and the US have to be onboard with this. And why wouldn't they be? Their psychopathic dreams and political futures are equally at stake here as outlined above."

So, there are a couple of deductions I would like to add to James's excellent analysis.  He may have already made some of these points but I would like to emphasize the following in point form:

- Saudi Arabia and its allies are acting as proxies for USrael and the European Banksters that run their perpetual war for Profit global scam.

- They have definitely made the terms issued to Qatar "non negotiable" ensure a WWIII in the very short term...which will avoid their looming bankruptcy and (perhaps worse) geopolitical irrelevancy!

- Ultimately, just like everything else that has gone on in the Middle East for the past 15 years or more...this is aimed at Russia/China/Iran....but particularly Russia/Putin.  It will take every ounce of his chessmaster skills to outmaneuver the perps this time.  They've doubled down for "one final roll of the dice"...and Qatar is it.  Stay tuned.

Open Letter to Canadian Prime Minister re: Canadian "sniper" killing indigenous fighter in Iraq

A Canadian 3RCR Battlegroup sniper walks
up a hill to his position during a mission
near Kabul, Afghanistan, in 2003.
(Stephen Thorne/Canadian Press)

Dear Mr. Prime Minister:

I am writing this open letter to you to inquire about the shocking news that Canadian soldiers are killing indigenous fighters in Iraq.  I refer to the recent news story about a Canadian "sniper" killing an "ISIS" fighter in Iraq.  Did Parliament ever authorize the combat mission that this soldier is being publicly praised for engaging in?  Even the CBC says that the formal mission statement was to "aid and assist".  I note that the current leader of the Federal New Democratic Party has also written a public letter to you today.  I have copied the CBC report with a link to NDP leader Tom Mulcair's letter below for the benefit of my blog readers.  Please read the following and I will have further thoughts in comments to follow:

NDP Leader Tom Mulcair is foregoing the celebration and raising red flags following reports that a Canadian sniper in Iraq shattered the world record for the longest confirmed kill. In a letter Friday to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Mulcair said the incident "seriously calls into question your government's claim that Canadian forces are not involved in direct combat in Iraq."

National Defence says the sniper is part of the Joint Task Force 2 special forces unit and was supporting Iraqi forces in their fight against the ISIS when he shot an enemy fighter from 3,540 metres away. That is more than a kilometre farther than the previous record, held by a British sniper who shot a Taliban fighter in Afghanistan in 2009.
'Hell of a shot': Sniper record latest example of deadly Canadian marksmanship
Read Mulcair's letter to Trudeau (pdf)

Officials have refused to provide any other details about the incident, including where and when it occurred, citing operational security. But they maintain that the soldier was operating within the established limits of Canada's so-called "advise and assist" mission in Iraq. Those limits, however, have been repeatedly questioned over the course of the nearly four-year mission, with much of the debate revolving around whether Canadian soldiers are engaged in combat.

Questions over role

While news of the shot has spread like wildfire, prompting accolades and even disbelief from current and former military personnel around the world, Mulcair demanded Trudeau provide answers about the mission in Iraq. "Will you now confirm that Canadian troops have engaged in ground combat since your government took office?" he wrote. "Why have you not declared that the current military operation is now a combat mission? Why has there been no debate in the House of Commons regarding this change of mission?"

Opposition parties have repeatedly accused the Liberals of misleading the public about the nature of Canada's mission in Iraq by claiming that Canadian troops are not in combat. That includes revelations three years ago that Canadian troops were calling in airstrikes on ISIS targets, and last November when it was revealed they could shoot in situations other than self-defence.
But National Defence spokesman Daniel Le Bouthillier stood by past assertions Friday that Canadian soldiers are not engaged in combat in Iraq, despite the record-breaking shot. "Members of the Canadian Special Operations Task Force do not accompany leading combat elements, but enable the Iraqi security forces who are in a tough combat mission," he said.

"This takes the form of advice in planning for their operations and assistance to defeat (ISIS) through the use of coalition resources." The latest controversy comes as the clock ticks down on the current mission in Iraq, whose mandate is set to expire next week.

The Liberals have said Canada will maintain a presence in Iraq and the fight against ISIS, though officials say no decision has been made on whether to extend the current mission or change it.Canada has about 200 special forces operating in northern Iraq, including inside Mosul, supported by a combat hospital, a helicopter detachment, a military surveillance plane and an air-to-air refuelling aircraft.

So, in the second last paragraph of the CBC report we finally find out the reason for the braying and arrogant announcement that a Canadian "sniper" has set some sort of "record" by killing an indigenous fighter in Iraq.  The perps want Canada to sign on for another they're greasing the skids with appeals to the warped egos of those who enjoy killing and warfare for its own sake.  The entire world knows that ISIS is a creation of the CIA and that these young ISIS fighters (many of them children or little more than teenagers) have been manipulated into becoming cannon fodder for the Imperialist perpetual war mongers.

The most egregious aspect of this military involvement of Canada in Iraq is that, even the Americans have admitted that the invasion of the sovereign nation of Iraq and killing its elected leader, was based on a lie about WMD.  So, why are Canadian soldiers fighting on behalf of liars and murderers? Additionally, the United States was supposed to have "ended" it's occupation of Iraq many years ago.  Why are we still there?  Since ISIS is a creation of the US and since the US is supposed to be out of Iraq there is absolutely no reason for Canadian soldiers to be "sniping" at anyone.

This latest incident reminds me that, during Putin's Interviews with movie director Oliver Stone which were shown on TV last week, Putin said that Canada was also involved in Syria.  Was Putin telling the truth?  Canadians certainly do not want our soldiers involved in (yet another) illegal invasion of a country.  Please say it isn't so.

It seems to me that the short-sighted and scofflaw approach to the Articles of the United Nations Charter and of International Law will only come back to haunt Canada.  Like Iraq, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen and other non-nuclear countries, Canada is a militarily vulnerable nationIf we support those who do not respect International Law...then it is only a matter of time before they turn on us and invade us.  What is Canada going to do then?  Cry out to the UN and to the International Community to come and save us?

A Loyal Canadian,

Walking Stick - My Latest Wood Carving

Carved "Viking Prow" Walking Stick
by Greencrow

Hi is a video showing the latest carving by Greencrow.  It's a walking stick I plan to use to walk to the top of a local mountain along a popular trail called the "Coquitlam Crunch".  I hope I don't scare the other hikers with this menacing stick!  The top with the Viking design is carved from basswood. I got the design off the Internet.  It's the prow of an ancient Viking Ship.  The bottom (staff) is an old broom handle that I whittled into shape.  I epoxy glued a piece of copper piping at the bottom.  I also put a band made from a thin sheet of copper foil around the base of the head.

The walking stick is about 3 3/4 feet.  The top is 11 inches tall and 3 1/3 inches at the widest part.  I stained it with a mixture of paint thinner and oil paint and then put 2 coats of satin veneer on it.  The eyes are green glass beads glued into the wooden sockets

I am going to add this to my collection of Arts and Crafts on my Special Page that you can access through the link at the top of the main page. Enjoy!

Water off a Duck's Back? Qatar crisis all about sanctioning and destroying Russian economic alliances

Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin
braves heavy rain to honour war heros

How quickly the flea-brained Western media shifts its brief focus from one "crisis" to another.  Last week it was all about Qatar.  A lot of fake media bloviating was spent on Saudi Arabia and its gulf allies turning on tiny (but immensely rich with gas/oil reserves) Qatar.  Even for manufactured "crisis" this one was done and gone in the blink of an eye.  US nominal leader Trump came out in support of the Saudi vendetta on Qatar and then, 24 hours later, he was backtracking...belatedly remembering the huge US base in Qatar.  This was after his first visit to the Middle East as President where there was a even briefer photo show of unity:

Trump Stands with Arab Leaders and Earth Globe

From RT

Trump administration contradicts itself on Qatar allegations
The US State Department questioned the motives of Gulf Arab States in their boycott of Qatar, days after president Trump blasted the emirate for its alleged funding of terrorism. "The more the time goes by, the more doubt is raised about the actions taken by Saudi Arabia and the UAE,” said State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert at a briefing Tuesday. “At this point, we are left with one simple question: Were the actions really about their concerns regarding Qatar's alleged support for terrorism or were they about the long-simmering grievances between and among the GCC countries.”

The State Department’s choice of words – “Qatar’s alleged support of terrorism” – appears to contradict President Donald Trump’s earlier statement when he said “The nation of Qatar has unfortunately been a funder of terrorism, and at a very high level," adding, "the time has come to call on Qatar to end its funding." On June 5th, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt, cut ties with Qatar, saying Doha supports terrorism while cultivating ties with Iran, the Gulf States’ rival in the region.

While Trump supported the Saudi-led blockade of Qatar, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called for an easing of the ban. And adding further confusion, days after president Trump blasted Qatar for “funding terrorism,” his administration authorized the sale of over $21 billion of US weapons to the emirate. The US State Department questioned the motives of Gulf Arab States in their boycott of Qatar, days after president Trump blasted the emirate for its alleged funding of terrorism. ...

There are more than 10,000 American service members at the US central command base in Qatar. Doha recently reminded the America of the partnership: “When no one wanted to host your troops after 9/11, we did. We protected them. Saudi Arabia asked you to leave," said Meshal bin Jamad al Thani, the Qatari ambassador to the US.

The State Department spokeswoman said the countries “can work this out on their own,” without US mediation..."

Truth being such a rarified commodity these days, I take it from wherever I can find it.  I just put it to the "smell" test. In that regard,  Benjamin Fulford said something on his blog last Monday that made a lot of sense to me:

The crisis in Qatar marks a major turning point in the battle against the Khazarian mafia. Ostensibly Saudi Arabia and other oil exporting states decided to try to blockade Qatar “because it was supporting terrorism.” In reaction to this move, US President Donald Trump showed the world he was not in charge of the US by first supporting the blockade and then being forced by the Pentagon to change his stance 180 degrees the next day. What is really going on here is that Qatar reached a deal with Iran to export gas from its massive gas fields not [towards the] West, in exchange for worthless Euros or US dollars, but rather [towards the]East to places like India and China in exchange for their currencies..."

Finally, the whole thing was starting to make sense.  Qatar was being pilloried not for its long-standing obedience to the USrael's command to contribute to the "terrorist agenda" of Middle East distruction...but to the opposite...a willingness to "trade with the enemy", Russia, China, India, and Iran.  The USrael-agent legislators in the US Congress and Senate, unlike Qatar, fell meekly into line last week with the passing of new legislation sanctioning Russia (and its allies):
...mighty nation [US] which is intent on imposing harsher sanctions on Russia. As observed by Forbes, the new Bill «punishes Russian oil and gas firms even more than the current sanctions regime... Russia has no friends on Capitol Hill».

It is intriguing that the sanctions focus on oil and gas production, and Bloomberg reported that Germany and Austria consider «the measures sought to bolster US economic interests and included an unacceptable intervention in the region’s energy sector». In an unprecedented expression — indeed, explosion — of disapproval, Germany’s Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel and Austria’s Chancellor Christian Kern said in a joint statement that «Europe’s energy supply is a matter for Europe, not the United States of America... instruments for political sanctions should not be tied to economic interests» and that the Senate’s amendment heralded a »new and very negative quality in European-American relations».

As London’s Financial Times reported, «the Russia sanctions outline opposition to Nord Stream 2, a pipeline that will double capacity for Gazprom... to supply gas to Europe under the Baltic Sea. The measures could affect European energy companies, including Shell, Engie and OMV, which are financing the pipeline. Shares in all four companies tumbled on Thursday».

Washington’s mission of lucrative destruction was partly achieved, but that’s where we come to the essence of the matter. The part of the Sanctions Bill involving Russia was an add-on to a series of vindictive measures against Iran, but it seemed a good idea to also sanction Russia’s oil and gas production, because nobody would benefit more than the oil and gas companies of the United States.

Bloomberg explained that the Nord Stream pipeline «would compete with US exports of liquefied natural gas to Europe». And the Senate made it plain that the US government «should prioritize the export of United States energy resources in order to create American jobs, help United States allies and partners, and strengthen United States foreign policy».

So, in plain talk, what was going on in Qatar [look for future "regime change" dynamics there] last week and what is going on in the Israeli-controlled US Congress and Senate this week is a declaration of economic war on Russia and its allies (BRIC) plus Syria and Iran.  The humiliated Trump administration is being mollified by the "rationale" that sanctioning Russia's gas sector and promoting the much more expensive and environmentally dangerous American shipped LNG to "good for bidness".

The truth is, sanctions, as I have said over and over, are the best thing that have ever happened to the Russian economy.  Russia gets to keep all the profits reaped from the more challenging efforts to create new markets.  Russia gets to  develop its industries and related technologies...and sell THOSE to the world.  Russia gets to keep its citizens employed in REAL jobs that utilize their high level of education and training.  Not the MacJobs economy like Americans are toiling under.  Finally and most importantly, the sanctions de facto, PROTECT Russia from industrial moles, sabotage and subterfuge from within.  Canada should be so LUCKY!

And, as a bonus...the more sanctions are put in place and the more they impact on the economies of USrael's "NATO so-called allies" like France and Germany...the more the citizens and leaders of those countries will wake up to the self-serving agenda of USrael..which goes against THEIR best interests!

So, yes, sanctions (and bullying of little trade/economic partners of Russia, like Qatar), is "Water Off A Duck's Back" to Putin and Russia.

Breaking News: Another Day, Another Provocation - Who is in Charge of the US Navy?

"NATO" US Fighter Jet Threatens Russian
Defense Minister Jet in Neutral
Skies over Baltic Sea

Another day, another provocation, by the out-of-control US Navy.  As I said earlier this week. The US Navy for a long time now has been acting like a "rogue" within a "rogue State".  I have a particular axe to grind with the US Navy...because it was US Navy so-called "reserve" jet fighter pilots, flying out of a US airbase in one of the Arab countries that attacked the Canadian soldiers doing live fire night time exercises at Tarnak Farm just outside of the flood-lit (restricted air space) Kandahar air base in Afghanistan the night of April 17, 2002.  Four Canadian soldiers were killed and more injured.  Canadian Prime Minister of the day, Jean Chretien, sardonically commented immediately afterwards "They SAY it was an accident."

At least, in those days they had a formal inquiry into the murders (unlike the recent US Navy jet attack on a Syrian jet flying in its own Syrian territory).  Do you know what the inquiry found out?  The pilots were all hopped up on caffeine pills or some kind of "uppers" when they flew wildly off course for thousands of miles...targeted the Canadians and held a conversation with their "ground control" about dropping the bombs on them.

"You're Cleared, Self-Defense"

Those were the infamous words of the "ground control" to the pilots...seconds after they dropped their bombs. Those weasel words became my tagline on the New York Times comments forums within I rudely awoke to the evil that festered in the United States Military, Industrial, and Governmental complex.  All "truth bloggers" can share their "moment of truth" when they finally woke up and threw off their "sheeple" garments.  "The Tarnak Farm Incident" as it came to be known was mine.  Millions and millions of computer keyboard strokes later...I'm still fighting my keyboard warrior battles--against the evil forces who cowardly ambushed and killed my Canadian soldiers.

So, when I see reports and videos like the chilling one below, like PTSD, it takes me back to that moment in April, 2002 when I realized that "Canada's best friend and ally" was actually its worst and most evil covert enemy.  Many other citizens of many other countries have made that discovery in the years of "perpetual warfare" since.  Please read the following and I will have more thoughts in comments to follow:

Russian Su-27 warns off NATO F-16 trying to approach defense minister’s plane over Baltic (VIDEO)

A NATO F-16 fighter jet has tried to approach the Russian defense minister’s plane above the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea. The plane was warded off by a Russian Su-27 escorting the minister’s aircraft.
Russian plane was en route to the city of Kaliningrad, a western Russian exclave between Poland and Lithuania on the Baltic Sea, where Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu is scheduled to discuss security issues with defense officials on Wednesday.

The incident was first reported by journalists of Russian state news agencies on board Shoigu’s plane.  While one NATO aircraft tried to approach the Russian airplane, a Russian Su-27 fighter jet got in its way and tilted its wings, apparently showing its arms. The F-16 then flew away.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that he has no information about the incident.
“It’s probably better to ask the Defense Ministry,” Peskov said in answer to journalists’ questions. The alliance was not aware that the Russian Defense Minister was onboard, a NATO representative told TASS, stating that the F-16 made a “standard” check as Shoigu’s plane did not identify itself. “We consider the actions of Russian pilots during the encounter as safe and professional,” the representative said.

On Shoigu’s way back from Kaliningrad, his escort was bolstered by several Su-34 jets, according to reporters. A number of NATO planes followed the Russian Defense Minister’s plane at a distance without making attempts to get any closer. On Monday a US RC-135 spy plane flying toward the Russian border made a “provocative turn” toward a Baltic Fleet Su-27, which had been scrambled for an interception mission.

The encounters of Russian and US warplanes over the Baltic Sea waters have apparently become more frequent lately. A Russian fighter jet intercepted a small group of US warplanes, including Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker military refueling aircraft, two B-1 bombers and one B-52, during the BALTOPS (Baltic Operations) annual training exercise on June 10. Earlier in June, the Russian military intercepted another B-52 bomber in the same area, and escorted by an Su-27 fighter away from Russian territory."

Readers can be assured that the perps have Russia's Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, in their sights.  Sheeple don't know it but Shoigu is probably the second most powerful and popular man in Russia, after Putin himself.  Shoigu is credited with transforming the Russian Military into one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful, dollar for dollar, military forces in the world.

Assassination of such a public figure and idol as Shoigu would make the crass and crude assassination of the Russian Ambassador to Turkey a mere blip on the WWIII radar.  There has been a steady and relentless series of extreme provocations to the Russians over the past several this series, I include the shoot down of two Russian passenger jets...including the one carrying the entire Russian military choir last Christmas...and the mysterious death of the Russian ambassador to the UN.

In his TV question and answer program in Russia the other day, Putin was asked what he would do if he found out someone was lying to him.  Putin said he would try and analyse WHY the individual was lying to him...but his last sentence was the most crucial...and I took it as a subliminal message to all those who have thought they were getting away with provocations...Putin said:  "But I would never forget!"
