The Park Bench Café #17 Peking Duck Edition

The Park Bench Café #17  Peking Duck Edition

There's a sushi restaurant located in a tiny strip mall about three blocks from our house.  Sooooooooo convenient.  Not only that...but it has some of the best sushi known to man.  There are about four or five Japanese chefs...with chefs caps on...working feverishly in the open kitchen behind the counter...trying desperately to keep up with the waves of sushi-lovers who line up at the door waiting to be shown a table.  Only problem is...the service is lousy!  The matter who she is, on any given totally incompetent.  She allows about forty people to line up inside the tiny vestibule and out the door before she gets off her @$$ and starts finding them seats in the already crowded restaurant.  People linger over their food...whatever.  I never ate at the restaurant the first four times I went...  We gave up and went home, due to an impossibly long wait.  Finally...I made a reservation weeks in advance...thinking that would solve the problem.  Four of us showed up--only to be told there WAS no reservation.  Well...I bullied my way past that hurdle and eventually we were shown a seat...fifteen minutes past our reservation time.  The Sushi was delicious!  But we still think twice before going to the's like the baseball player Yogi Berra says..."Nobody goes there anymore...It's too crowded!"

But, today, I've decided to sample some of that delicious sushi again.  By myself I go to the door and miraculously, nobody is lined up.  A gracious, smiling hostess stands waiting to serve and immediately shows me to my booth.  I have a whole Japanese-style eating booth all to myself.  Immediately, and without asking, my Japanese tea arrives....along with the menu. As I glance at the menu, wondering if the Japanese can make a "Peking Duck" sushi...

I notice that on the table by the Kikkomen Soy Sauce....lies a newspaper, neatly folded.

Peking Oriental Delicacy...
not to be confused with the old saying
"Your goose is cooked!"

The large headline piques my interest immediately..."Game, Set, Match!" referring to the Russians' recent announcement that they have irreversibly won the "Arms Race". You know the one...the one that's been going on all my life. Earth-shattering news! How will the Americans respond!? Surely they will switch course in their relentless controlled Main$tream media russophobia 24/7 frenzy/military Russian roulette charade....Right? I begin to read the lead story...

Game, Set, Match!

“… The US missile defense is not at all defensive. It is offensive in the extreme. If the United States were able to shield itself effectively from a potential Russian retaliation for a US nuclear First Strike, then the US would be able to dictate its terms to the entire world, not just to Russia. That would be Nuclear Primacy. As the late Lt. Colonel Robert Bowman, former director of the Reagan US Missile Defense Program expressed it to me some years ago in a private exchange, “Missile defense is the missing link to a First Strike.”

… “It is indeed set, match and game over for the Empire: there is no more military option against Russia.”

arch 7-8, 2018 -- SPECIAL REPORT. Historical evidence points to Trump's father being a Nazi sympathizer; possible wartime agent

A historian, who specializes on Nazi influence in America during the 1920s, 30s, and early 40s, has contacted WMR with supporting evidence that Fred Trump, Donald Trump's father and New York real estate baron, was not only a Nazi sympathizer during the 1920s and 30s, during the time of Adolf Hitler's rise to power in Germany, but may have also acted as an intelligence agent for Nazi Germany in wartime America.

Heretofore, the evidence that Fred Trump was a Nazi sympathizer rested on a June 1, 1927 article in The New York Times. The article, "Warren Criticizes 'Class' Parades," reported that "1,000 Klansmen and 100 policemen staged a free-for-all battle in Jamaica." Jamaica is a neighborhood in Queens where Fred Trump resided at the time. Donald Trump has consistently sought to obfuscate on his father's arrest, claiming in media interviews that it never happened and that his father never lived 175-24 Devonshire Road in Jamaica, as claimed in The New York Times story from 1927. Fred Trump, according to the Times story was released by Magistrate Thomas F. Doyle. It is noteworthy that Fred Trump and the six other defendants arrested with him at the Klan march were represented by ex-Judge Edgar F. Hazleton, described in the article as a "prominent member of the Knights of Columbus," the Roman Catholic fraternal society. Fred Trump and his fellow Klansmen were actually protesting against the "Roman Catholic" New York Police Department when the melee broke out with the hundred New York cops.....

School Safety Administrator Discusses Disturbing Evidence in Parkland School Shooting | 07 March 2018 | Wolfgang Halbig, a retired Florida State school administrator and safety expert who researched the Sandy Hook school shooting in 2012 and concluded it was a "contrived event," turns his investigative skills to the shooting at Parkland high school. Halbig wrote the school safety plan for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School high school in 2006, and says that the Parkland shooting follows the same script as the Sandy Hook event: There were no trauma helicopters called in, paramedics were not allowed into the school, and it is unknown who declared the victims dead. Halbig discusses in great detail numerous examples of how school administrators and police violated well known safety protocols, the effect of which was to put children and teachers into high risk of being killed -- all in violation of established safety protocols.

With just 3.7 seconds of audio, a new AI algorithm developed by Chinese tech giant Baidu can clone a pretty believable fake voice. Much like the rapid development of machine learning software that democratized the creation of fake videos, this research shows why it's getting harder to believe any piece of media on the internet.

Jack Mullen: Even in the Wake of Massive, Illegal, Censorship, the Parkland School Shooting Narrative is Still Falling Apart

Kudos to The Atlantic for one of the most important stories of our time.

The title of these below pieces misrepresent what was actually said:

In point of fact, Putin didn't single out Jews and clearly doesn't lump them all in one negative group, as evidenced by his manner over the years. On the matter of singling out, there has been a hypocritically applied selective sensitivity factor at play in some influential circles.

Note the term "Russian mafia", relative to the actual ethnic/religious backgrounds of a good number associated with that category. A Norwegian IAAF member, recently gave credence to the idea of banning all Russians from track and field competition, regardless of whether they met the anti-doping requirements.

Towards the end of apartheid era South Africa, the IAAF and IOC made it possible for South African nationals to compete at the highest level. Quite different from the current mood evident within some IAAF, IOC and WADA circles.

Yesterday’s meeting in the White House relating to violence in video games missed one major topic of discussion: our military’s use of video games to train our troops to be more aggressive and to recruit the kinds of kids who might be more inclined to violence in the first place.

It is widely known that the military helps game manufacturers design and create video games.
The CIA has front companies making the things for them. Hell, even Cubic Corp has a division where it develops and uses video games for the training of unconventional warfare. None of that was mentioned yesterday though. Oddly enough.

"Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today that he wants the West Bank to remain under Israeli’s military control and does not want the Palestinians living there to become citizens or “subjects” of Israel, revealing an apparent hope to annex the occupied Palestinian territory while leaving its residents stateless. The remarks, made in an interview with David Rubenstein at the Economic Club in Washington DC, signal that Netanyahu has no intention of negotiating in talks that would conclude in Palestinian statehood. Yet the prime minister stopped short of explicitly calling for an official takeover of Palestinian lands in the form of a “one-state solution.”"

"Beware of Saudis bearing mega-city projects. NEOM a ploy by Wahhabists & Zionists to force migration of Palestinians from West Bank, East Jerusalem & Gaza to eastern Sinai/Tabuk.

"Kushner foreign dealings dealt heavy blows to Palestine, Qatar, and Iran" (Madsen):

"As a result of Kushner’s clearance being downgraded, there is pressure from Trump’s family to fire Kelly as chief of staff. In fact, the pressure is being exerted by Israeli moles in the White House who want Kushner’s pipeline to the most sensitive U.S. intelligence secrets restored. These moles include Ivanka Trump, a convert to the Orthodox Judaism practiced by her husband."

'European socialists' and 'globalists': "The NRA's Wayne LaPierre's Chilling Christian Nationalist Call to Arms" (Bronstein) and "This Anti-Semitic Term Was Casually Used At The White House 3 Times This Week" and "Ann Coulter Names the (((Globalist)))!" It is curious that Cohn left when the tariffs turned out to be a nothingburger.

"The CIA Democrats" (one, two, three) (Martin). The official amalgamation of the IC and the Democratic Party (what could possibly go wrong?), and an indication that despite its infinite power, the IC feels it needs another leg up to properly run the USA. The strategy is that these various monsters will attract the psycho votes which would otherwise naturally go to Republican candidates.

"Are You Listening, America?" (Ritter):

"There is a reason the Trump administration—and to be frank, those of Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama before him—have treated nuclear disarmament and arms control so cavalierly. The United States walked away from the ABM Treaty, opening the door for the current crisis in U.S.-Russia relations. The Cold War-era START has expired, and the INF Treaty has been reduced to little more than a politicized foil, in which unsubstantiated claims of Russian noncompliance are bandied about to further demonize Moscow in the eyes of the American public.

The New START, which replaced the original START, is set to expire in 2021, with little or no effort being made to keep it alive or use it as a foundation for new, more meaningful arms control agreements.

The practitioners of what constitutes arms control and disarmament policy in America today, unschooled in the ultimate futility of nuclear conflict, actually believe America can fight, and win, a nuclear war. “If deterrence fails,” the 2018 Nuclear Posture Review notes, “the United States will strive to end any conflict at the lowest level of damage possible and on the best achievable terms for the United States, allies, and partners. U.S. nuclear policy for decades has consistently included this objective of limiting damage if deterrence fails."

"Australian Diplomat Who Tipped FBI About George Papadopolous Ties to, Get This, the Clinton Foundation" (Ace of Base HQ). "Four Other People May Have the Trump Dick Pics (AKA “Certain Still Images”)!" (Marshall).

Not-Putin bot amplification.

"Google admits collaboration with illegal US drone murder program" (Damon).

"The Starvation of Yemen and the Saudis’ ‘Cynical P.R. Exercise’" (Larison):

"The Saudi-led coalition has been using its blockade to try to starve Yemen into submission for almost three years now. They keep commercial imports out of Hodeidah because they want to strangle the areas of the country that continue to resist them, and they don’t care if that leads to mass starvation. It should not come as a shock to anyone that their plan to “help” Yemenis is an attempt to distract attention from what they continue to do to the civilian population. The Saudis and their allies are not the least bit interested in alleviating the terrible conditions in Yemen, but they want to appear as if they are so that their Western patrons don’t face as much political pressure to end support for the war. No one should be fooled into believing that the Saudi-led coalition’s “humanitarian” plan is anything more than a fig leaf to cover the horrifying reality of what they have done and what they continue to do to the people of Yemen."

"The Oxfam scandal is just one aspect of the aid industry's ugly power problem" (Humphrey). The employees are there primarily for the inexpensive opportunities, just as pedophiles often end up as school teachers.

On Being Necessary

They ought consciously and carefully to devise and enact legislation that revives the organization of local militias throughout the United States, as the Constitution expects them to do. [More]

I've had problems with Alan Keyes in the past. Not on this.

This seems like a project that could be organized to find and then help an honorable rep to write and introduce such a bill, and then to rally gun owners behind it. This seems like the type of thing that could really make a group like GOA take off in terms of influence, and really show Fairfax for the insincere weaselworders that they are.

Perhaps Rep. Massie...?

I'd also like to see lawsuits -- based on equal protection, and on U.S. Code factoring in "ordinary military equipment [that] could contribute to the common defense."

Self-Driving Cars Attacked by Angry Californians

Via: Guardian:

Two of the six collisions involving autonomous vehicles in California so far this year involved humans colliding with self-driving cars, apparently on purpose, according to incident reports collected by the California department of motor vehicles.

On 10 January, a pedestrian in San Francisco’s Mission District ran across the street to confront a GM Cruise autonomous vehicle that was waiting for people to cross the road, according to an incident report filed by the car company. The pedestrian was “shouting”, the report states, and “struck the left side of the Cruise AV’s rear bumper and hatch with his entire body”.

No injuries occurred, but the car’s left tail light was damaged.

In a separate incident just a few blocks away on 28 January, a taxi driver in San Francisco got out of his car, approached a GM Cruise autonomous vehicle and “slapped the front passenger window, causing a scratch”.

The police were not called in either case.

I’d recommend reading The Saker’s (far more in-depth) analysis of this important issue:

A military veteran who was kicked out of the PTSD treatment program at a California veterans’ home came back on Friday, March 9, and held three women hostage for several hours before all four were found dead after a standoff lasting almost eight hours.

Carl Jung on loneliness & freedom of thought and expression

Last week, Google confirmed that it has provided artificial intelligence software to assist the United States military and intelligence apparatus in analyzing data as part of its drone war and assassination program in the Middle East and beyond. The website Gizmodo, which first broke the story, reported that the military program using Google is called Project Maven. A military report announcing the project last year said it “focuses on computer vision—an aspect of machine learning and deep learning—that autonomously extracts objects of interest from moving or still imagery.”

“…. If Putin was trying to block Clinton, why would he be involved with the marketing of the dossier? Putin has no real interest in the identity of the American President. What he wants is to tie up whoever won in the usual Washington partisan wrangling, so he is free to operate without the concentration of the Americans…..”

[Editor: I disagree to some extent with this analysis of Putin’s language and behavior. The way I see it, Putin’s Russia has been the target of much interference on the part of American for a very, very long time — after all, who funded the Bolsheviks and put Lenin aboard that sealed train? — and there is a long litany of abuses, the greatest of which was the deaths of — count them, how many hundreds of millions? — and the threatened demise of many more and the entire nation with a nuclear first-strike, that gleaming fantasy of so many including the Jewish/Zionist game theorists. Putin is laughing at the US and its politicians and people but inwardly suggesting that Russia is no longer going to be the pummeling bag of groups of US bureaucrats aided by interests masquerading as something other than what they really are.]

Tell Me More About How Google Isn’t Part Of The Government And Can Therefore Censor Whoever It Wants? – Caitlin Johnstone

“… five Senators – three Democrats and two Republicans – wrote letters to four big tech companies, calling for censorship of drug information. Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Pinterest were contacted and accused of facilitating trade in prescription drugs and illegal narcotics.

These letters, which according to the EFF are nearly identical, were separately written but sent around the same time last month. Interestingly, the letters were announced in a mailing list to members of the Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies (ASOP).

ASOP is a non-profit organization headquartered in Washington D.C., dedicated to “protecting consumers around the world, and combating illegal online drug sales,” among other things, as stated on the organization’s official website.

However, according to the EFF, the Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies is a big pharma lobby group. Congress is exempt from Freedom of Information Act requests, so it’s impossible to know for sure whether this was a coordinated effort between the Senators and the Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies, or merely a coincidence…..” via

“… If Pharma can pay enough TOTAL money for ads, for ALL drugs, and dominate the allotted TV time for commercials, it can control the news---and that is exactly what it wants to do…..”

Apologies for the length... I have less and less time to spend editing or rewriting and I find it all so interesting. My father was born as trains were being electrified and horseless carriages made their appearance. Today we have self-driving cars, HyperLopps, and planes that fly at over Mach 4.0 (actual speeds highly classified). And we have social media, a sycophantic press corps, and sousveillance.
