Sympathy for the Devil

Lucifer - Angel of Light - aka Satan - aka the Devil

Sometimes you almost have to feel sorry for the Devil.  So much of "humanity" is trying to make deals with him.  Individuals, Nations, Religions. He's so busy, sometimes he doesn't know whether to sh!t or go blind.  Here's a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Neocon Analyst: Moderate Rebels Justified in 'Devil's Bargain' With ISIL.  A Washington neocon shill is trying to explain the current US position in Syria, where the US has made deals with several competing terrorist mercenary proxy armies in an effort to unseat a legitimately elected (and very popular) leader, Bashar al-Assad.
"...[The neocon analyst] admitted that the so-called moderate Syrian rebels have been "effectively compelled to enter into a devil's bargain with the radical Islamists in order to have any chance of accomplishing their overriding goal, [eliminating Assad from power]," but felt that supporting such militants was, nevertheless, apparently justified. ..."

The Washington neocon then seems to himself get confused as to who is fighting who and who is being paid by the US.

"...[the neocon] seems to suggest that Washington should expand its aid to people who not only have no hope of seizing power, but who are, in his own words, likely to be overrun and destroyed by radicals at the first opportunity. If Obama were to follow his advice, this would mean not only further prolonging Syria's agony, but could very possibly mean an outcome where the 'winners' are jihadists.

And what is his justification for such a policy?

In Buonomo's words, "if the Obama administration does not [spend more money arming the rebels] it will find itself watching haplessly as the US' regional partners –Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar…act unilaterally by supporting their own chosen factions, thereby exacerbating the sectarian dimension of the conflict. This will [in turn] reinforce the current dynamic that compels the moderates (from their perspective) to act in concert with the Islamist radicals."

It can get very complicated. As they say, the devil's in the details.....but the Devil will sort it out,

Even more complicated...the Devil has to sort out situations where a third party attempts to do a deal or make an offer to the party who is doing deals with the devil.  Here, one of my favourite geopolitical commentators, Mike Whitney, describes the recent development in Syria where Russia's Vladimir Putin has made the US's Obama "an offer he can't refuse."
The reason the administration is going to agree to allow Assad to stay, [as Russia wants] is because if they don’t, the Russian Airforce is going to continue to blow US-backed mercenaries to smithereens. So, you see, Obama really has no choice in the matter. Putin has put a gun to his head and made him an offer he can’t refuse.

That doesn’t mean the war is going to be a cakewalk for Russia or its allies. It won’t be. In fact, there have already been some major setbacks, like the fact that ISIS just seized a critical section the Aleppo-Khanasser highway, cutting off  the government’s supply-lines to Aleppo. This is a serious problem, but it is not a problem that can’t be overcome nor is it a problem that will effect the outcome of the war. It’s just one of the obstacles that has to be dealt with and surpassed.  Taking a broader view, the outlook is much more encouraging for the Russian-led coalition which continues to cut off supply-lines,  blow up ammo dumps and fuel depots, and rapidly eviscerate the ability of the enemy to wage war.  So, while the war is certainly not a walk in the park, there’s no doubt about who’s going to win.

And that might explain why the US decided to bomb Aleppo’s main power plant last week plunging the entire city into darkness; because Obama wants to “rubblize” everything on his way out.  Keep in mind, that the local water treatment plants require electrical power, so by blowing up the plant, Obama has condemned tens of thousands of civilians to cholera and other water-born diseases. Apparently, our hospital-nuking president isn’t bothered by such trivial matters as killing women and children. Now check this out from the Daily Star:

“U.S.-led coalition forces in Iraq and Syria carried out a large-scale attack on Syria’s Omar oil field as part of its mission to target ISIS’s ability to generate money, a coalition spokesman said Thursday.
Operations officer Maj. Michael Filanowski told journalists in Baghdad that airstrikes late Wednesday struck ISIS-controlled oil refineries, command and control centers and transportation nodes in the Omar oil field near the town of Deir el-Zour. Coalition spokesman Col. Steven Warren said the attack hit 26 targets, making it one of the largest set of strikes since launching the air campaign last year.

The refinery generates between $1.7 and $5.1 million per month for ISIS.

The US's tool, its created and funded ISIS, has also, unknown to anyone else but the Devil, laid a secret oil pipeline through northern Kurdish-controlled Iraq straight to the terminally corrupt heart of Turkey. In other words, Turkey has been funding the ISIS terrorists as they murdered and destroyed Turkey's neighbour, Syria...all for thirty pieces of silver (cheap oil).  So, Turkey has also been doing a deal with the Devil.

No matter who does a deal with the Devil...whether it be an individual...(say, an Israeli policewoman giving a tip about an innocent unarmed Palestinian man walking towards a checkpoint... this is how that ended), a nation or a religion....the Devil is always faithful in holding up his end of the bargain. No matter what the deal is...his product is always the same....this is how it always ends...
