Where's Kerry? Update

John Kerry Rides his Bicycle in Lausanne, Switzerland

More than a week has passed since John Kerry fell off his bike (some say it was a stationary bike...others say Kerry was participating in a bicycle marathon) and broke his leg while on business in Europe.  I'm amazed at the lack of interest and/or information about this powerful man--who was suddenly removed from the geopolitical scene during a time of unprecedented international tension, brinkmanship and turmoil. I have only been able to find one update.

Alternate media journalist Wayne Madsen says this about Kerry:
"Secretary of State John Kerry's bicycle accident near Geneva, Switzerland on May 31 while he was immersed in intense deal-salvaging talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has altered the make-up of America's top echelon of foreign policy officials. Kerry's absence from the Iran talks, as well as the G7 summit in Bavaria, has thrust to the forefront individuals not as committed as Kerry to a nuclear deal with Iran or an opening to Russia over Ukraine.

Kerry, who already underwent a twin hip replacement, broke his femur when his bicycle hit a curb near Scionzier, France on a leg of the annual Tour de France bicycle race tournament. Doctors believe that Kerry's injuries may be compounded because of damage to his hip replacement from the fall. It may take up to six or seven months before Kerry recovers from his injuries. The Iran nuclear talks must see substantial progress before the end of June or face collapse. Kerry's outreach to Russia in meeting President Vladimir Putin in Sochi also has been derailed by the Secretary of State's convalescence period...
...Kerry's bike accident has served as a windfall for neocons like Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs Victoria Nuland and Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Tom Malinowski to advance their agendas during Kerry's absence from Foggy Bottom...."

Who was it who said "Nothing in politics happens by accident"? Thinking back to a month or more ago now when Putin "went missing" (according to the main$tream media). The chattering classes in the West almost had an apoplectic fit trying to figure out where he was. There was the wildest speculation, including that Putin had been deposed. I'm wondering what the US media would have done if either Putin or Lavrov had fallen off their bicycle and then went absolutely missing...like not one mainstream media photo or interview recovering from a hospital bed?! I do believe the West would quickly and completely write Russia off if something like that happened...Done like dinner, they'd say! "There's been a revolution!", they'd crow in exultation.

Yet, here's John Kerry, supposedly the second most powerful man in America (and significantly the only one with any rapport with Russia), gone completely missing from the public eye.... and nobody says nuthin....except some who observe ominously that "it's a good thing"....for Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and her neocon, warmongering crew. Frankly, I'm just not buying it.
